Ladies and gentlemen we are back with another exciting episode of Revisiting Endor! One of the most iconic battles of the Galactic Civil War. Last time, we looked at how Shawn Craw and Jared made it off Endor. Now we will go back in time and see what happened to some of the other imperials in the battle.
Dereck's Perspective[]
Dereck, Chanler, and Katrina move forward as they advance in the Endor forest. We hear numerous reports of attacking imperial forces being overwhelmed by Ewoks or taken out by the Rogue AT-ST. Just as main defenses were preparing to dispatch more AT-STs or even an AT-AT to deal with the rogue one; imperial outposts reported rebel U-wings landing in the area.
The more powerful imperial positions were immediately attacked by rebel strike teams. Cutting them off from the Bunker forces and the strike teams that were busy with Ewoks. Katrina: "Ok, we are about 20 meters, from a nearby imperial outpost." The team crouches and slowly advances as they peak their heads out of the woods. Katrina pulls out her sniper rifle as she scans the area.
The outpost consists of a small bunker and a stormtrooper on a e-web blaster turret in the middle of the bunker. There is one stormtrooper guard left of him behind cover and their is a stormtrooper corpse right of him. The gunner opens fire towards the left flank and blasts a couple rebel commandos. There is another rebel corpse beside them. Everything seems to be clear.
Derreck, Chanler, and Katrina advance to the position. Chanler looks at the stormtrooper on the right flank. Chanler: "Good to see you trooper. We just fought our way out of the woods and lost contact with our initial unit. Status report."
Stormtrooper: "We have already lost contact with several small outposts. Imperial command wants outposts to hold position and link up with stragglers. I guess you guys are our stragglers. Not sure what the plan is for the forces at the bunker, everything seems to be a mess there."
Derreck: "All we can do is do our job."
Stormtrooper gunner: "Five rebels initially attacked us. We have only taken out three, but another two rebels are still out there." Chanler and Derreck immediately get behind cover. Chanler takes cover on the right flank beside the other stormie and Derreck goes on the left flank. Katrina cannot find any nearby cover, so he decides to go inside of the bunker. When Katrina enters the bunker she notices two imperial engineers on the communications arrays and a imperial lieutenant.
He has pale skin, curly hair, is 6'1, has a goatee, and has brown eyes. Katrina salutes the lieutenant and he salutes her back. Lieutenant: "Lieutenant Joriz. You're name?"
Katrina: "Karina Darius. Designation KD-4391."
Lieutenant Joriz: "Listening to this comms is depressing, especially since there is nothing we can do about the situation at the bunker."
Katrina: "Well, the troops in there can just lock the doors until friendlies are able to push them back."
Lieutenant Joriz: "It's worse than that. The entire garrison around the bunker has been wiped out or pushed back and the bunker has been destroyed."
Katrina: "I haven't gotten any notification of that on my comms!"
Lieutenant Joriz sighs, "Apparently there are several rebel commandos that have traveled throughout the area with jamming devices. These jammers are not powerful enough to block the hard wired signals from most bunkers, unless in close range. However, they can disrupt stand comm signals."
Katrina: "What is command's plan?"
Lieutenant Joriz: "To hold out until the rebel fleet is destroyed and we get air support."
Katrina knows that means that command does not have much of a plan. Katrina: "Is there anything I can do until then?"
Lieutenant Joriz: "For now, just stay here. Let's see how many people we can get at this outpost." Meanwhile, Derreck and Chanler are still watching for the other two rebels as they stand guard. The gunner suddenly notices a rebel commando and opens fire. The commando is shot down.
Another commando prepares to take out the gunner but, gets shot by Chanler. Derreck then notices two other rebel commandos. Derreck opens fire and blasts both rebels. Derreck: "Looks like they called for some reinforcements." Chanler notices another rebel commando and the rebel immediately opens fire at Chanler. Chanler takes cover and is pinned down. The stormtrooper beside him blasts the rebel.
Derreck: "All clear." Then I look up and notice the death star explode.
Stormtrooper gunner: "Impossible."
Chanler: "No way." Katrina suddenly runs out of the bunker as she hears the explosion and looks up in the sky.
Stormtrooper: "What now?"
Lieutenant Joriz then walks out of the bunker, "We have orders to fall back to the main bases in this area. Imperials are going to start evacuating and shuttles will come to pick friendly forces up."
Derreck: "You can bet that more rebels are coming now and that they are going to have even better weapons. It may be better if we wait for a while before we immediately advance."
Lieutenant Joriz: "No, it will not. Multiple star destroyers and imperial ships have already began to retreat. We need to get to major evacuation centers to flee as quickly as possible."
Chanler: "What, why? We still should have enough ships to hold our own against whatever the rebels can throw at us."
Lieutenant Joriz: "The Death Star just went up in flames. The Emperor and Vader were both probably in it when it did. Plus we lost the Executor before that. I'd say that imperials have lost a lot of morale and are acting frantically."
Chanler starts rubbing his stomach and moans: "Oh, God no."
Derreck: "Even if we have the means to still win, this battle is already lost. There is no way imperials officers will be able to cope with such circumstances."
Lieutenant Joriz: "The Empire has lasted for at least for 20 years with a great structure. I'm sure Palpatine had plenty of contingency plans for these sort of things. Do not worry, stand fast. We have a duty to complete. The closest nearby facility is Research Station 9. We need to head there as soon as possible."
Into the Fire[]
Dereck, Chanler, Katrina, Lieutenant Joriz, another stormtrooper, and two imperial engineers with blaster pistols prepare to advance from the bunker. Before the team leaves, Chanler and Derreck rig the bunker with explosives. Then the team moves out and Chanler detonates the explosives. The bunker explodes. Katrina's personal scout HUD system allows her to see further than her standard counterparts and can detect rebels that are under cover or behind objects.
Chanler: "That will prevent those rebels from getting access to important information."
Engineer: "It will slow them down, but they will probably take some of our bunkers."
Derreck: "All we can do is our job." As we advance, Katrina suddenly yells: "Incoming contacts!"
Lieutenant Joriz: "How many?"
Katrina: "Five rebel commandos, three heavy troopers behind them. Plus some Ewoks from the distance."
Joriz: "Worry about the rebels first! Then we'll scorch those little beasts!" There is no clear cover since the team is running through an open area, Chanler yells: "Spread out, if you don't want to be turned to mush!" All of the imperials immediately open fire. Derreck shoots down a rebel commando. Katrina blasts two commandos with her sniper rifle. Chanler takes out the commando sergeant. A Kel Dor rebel opens fire and shots down the other stormtrooper.
Chanler blasts the Kel Dor rebel. Katrina: "Ambush!" Three ewoks charge from the woods on the right and left flanks. On both flanks, there is an Ewok with a spear, stones, and club. Two Ewok gliders also soar from the left and right directions. Joriz opens fire with his blaster pistol and shoots down one of the rebel heavy troopers before he opens fire.
A Quarren rebel heavy trooper immediately opens fire and Derreck immediately dives on the floor narrowly avoiding a series of powerful blaster shots. An imperial engineer immediately opens fire and shoots down the Quarren. Derreck looks back at the engineer in gratitude, but the engineer is quickly hit in the face by a stone and knocked out.
The last heavy trooper shoots at Chanler and Chanler rolls to the left to avoid two rapid blaster shots. Joriz shoots the rebel heavy trooper in the stomach and a second time in the chest. Then an Ewok glider soars over him and drops a stone on his head. A loud snap is heard and the officer falls.
Derreck jumps back on his feet and notices two Ewoks charging towards him. One with a spear, another with a club. One Ewok throws its spear at Derreck, aiming for a black kink. The Ewok misses and hits Derreck's white left shoulder plating. Derreck moan's in pain, then shoots the Ewok down. Then Derreck blasts the Ewok with the club as he charges him.
Chanler turns around and sees an Ewok throw a stone at his head. Chanler ducks and dodges the stone. then shoots the Ewok in it's stomach. Katrina turns right and blasts an Ewok with a spear. Another Ewok with a club charges towards her. Katrina swiftly puts her sniper rifle on her back and switches to her blaster pistol then shoots the Ewok in its chest. A Ewok behind Katrina is about to throw a stone at her, but Derreck shots the Ewok in it's head.
The last Ewok glider drops a stone on the other engineer's head. Katrina switches back to her sniper rifle and shoots the glider down. Chanler looks at Derreck and Katrina then takes a deep breath. Chanler: "I have no idea, how we survived that."
Derreck: "Those little devils can fight!"
Imperial Base[]
[1] The sun begins to set as the day wans. As Chanler, Dereck, and Katrina advance across an open pathway, they notice dozens of stormtrooper corpses. Dereck: "Looks like a stormtrooper patrol got hit." There were a few Ewok corpses around the stormtroopers. Chanler: "Those little monsters." Katrina: "Look over there."
Katrina sees a lone stormtrooper survivor that is sitting on the ground. The team runs towards the stormtrooper. Stormtrooper: "That's far enough!"
The stormtrooper pulls out his blaster rifle and points it at Chanler. Chanler: "Trooper, we're on your side. Put down your blaster!"
The stormtrooper drops his blaster and covers his helmet. Stormtrooper: "I'm sick of all of this! I just want it to end! I'll bid you peace if you stay away from me!"
Dereck: "Please, just tell us what happened here."
Stormtrooper: "They started flinging arrows from every direction. They injured a couple troopers and we returned fire. Then they rushed us. Yelling like loud demons and with stunning speed. They pounded troops into the dirt as at least 15 of them rushed from all sides."
Stormtrooper: "Troopers got trampled by several Ewoks. I fell from a stone that hit me and played dead. I still hear their screams in my head. The screams of my fallen comrades and the screams of those monsters! They just kept beating the last men while they were down until they were dead. They had no mercy and the only reason they must have left is because they were still on the move to kill more of us."
Katrina: "I'm so sorry. Please come with us and keep fighting. You can survive."
Stormtrooper: "No!!! Leave me be. I will remain here, ready for whatever fate awaits me." Chanler touches Dereck's shoulder.
Chanler: "We need to keep moving." The team moves forward.
The team, then notices the outskirts of the facility. Everything is quiet and there is battle damage at the entrance along with the corpses of several rebel commandos. As the team enters the facility, they notice dozens of imperial, Ewok, and rebel corpses throughout the facility. Chanler: "Looks like the main battle has already happened." The main doors to the research facility have been burned through.
Dereck: "It seems like the evacuation has already happened. We are late to the party. Do you guys want to enter the base and see if we can find anything useful?" Chanler: "What is there to find? We could be unlucky and run into more rebels." Dereck: "We would also be further away from those Ewoks and this gives us somewhere to sleep."
Chanler: "A place to sleep? We need to keep moving or else we may miss any evacuation shuttles that may still be out there. We have even less of a chance finding them tomorrow."
Katrina: "Dereck has a point, we are tired. It is best we rest, we may not survive another ambush."
Chanler: "Well then you better hope that we survive whatever fight may be waiting for us in that base."
Chanler: "Fine, but if we don't make it out of here.."
Dereck: "Enough with the negativity. Let's go." As the team pushes on, they notice more imperial and rebel corpses throughout the facility. Katrina switches to her blaster pistol. They suddenly notice two rebel soldiers casually standing in a hallway. Chanler and Derreck stealthy advance.
Chanler snatches one of the rebels, and slits his throat with a hidden knife. Derreck stabs the other guard in the back of his chest. A male rebel Twilek corporal with blue skin is sitting in his seat listening to a alliance radio and he suddenly hears something. The corporal casually rotates his chair and says: "What now Pete?" Then he notices Katrina who promptly shoots him in his chest.
Chanler: "All too easy." Derreck: "Let's hear that radio."
Radio (rebel command): "They are falling back. We're routing them out. Over 90% of imperial facilities have fallen and imperial forces are fleeing. Take out as many as you can. The Empire is finished."
Katrina cuts the radio off and says, "Nothing too interesting."
The team scouts to see if the vending machines are still working at a certain part of the facility. Derreck notices that the machines were smashed open and raided by rebels. Derreck: "That's just rich. Rebels always thieven."
Chanler: "At least we can use restrooms in this facility." Katrina turns around as she hears a noise and the team quickly aim their weapons.
An imperial scientist with a strong Core world accent slowly advances: "Holster your weapons troops. I am an imperial scientist. I worked in this facility before the attack. My name is John Wane"
Dereck: "Why didn't you escape?"
John Wane: "My evacuation team was cut off from other imperial forces and our exit way was destroyed after part of the ceiling collapsed in the hallway I was in. Rebels quickly attacked our forces and I ran in a hidden storage room that I knew of and locked myself in."
John: "I got lucky, because no rebels checked my room. After the attack, I ended up deciding to get some fresh air."
Dereck: "Do you have any snacks or know where we can find some?"
John: "There are some snacks in the storage room."
Katrina: "Did you notice the rebel forces in this building?"
John: "The ones who attacked?"
Derreck: "Some where still in here."
John: "Ugh, no. Are they still here?"
Chanler: "Don't worry we killed them."
John: "Oh, good. I have a blaster pistol incase. I'm not a fighter myself, but I'll do what I can."
Katrina: "Do you know if there is a way we can contact other imperial forces? We found a rebel radio earlier, but it's stations are controlled by alliance forces."
John: "I'm a scientist, not an engineer."
Chanler: "Man, those engineers we were with earlier would have been reeeallly useful right now. Too bad we let them get killed by Ewoks."
John: "Don't worry about that. I know an imperial droid that can." John leads the team to the storage room where a black and grey astromech droid greets them as it spins around in circles.
John: "This is T3-45." John: "T3 knows how to work with radio devices. It's a good thing you found me because the rebels would have destroyed any imperial astromech droids they found that had not been evacuated with imperial personnel."
T3-45: "Beep beep beee!"
John: "Oh, you crazy little droid. I'm telling you guys the scientists get the best droids with the most personality in the Empire."
Katrina: "Do you think the Empire is done?" John's mood suddenly changes and he gives Katrina a serious glance.
John: "I like the Empire. It represents the order and security that the galaxy needs in the face of large and powerful threats. As I did my research, I learned of how big Wild Space and the Unknown Regions are."
John: "There is a lot of territory that we do not know of and there could be a powerful force lurking from the shadows. I like how the Empire keeps powerful criminal organizations in check or at least it has done so in my region. I am from a wealthy world called Beltizan in the Core and the Empire has offered many opportun.."
Katrina interrupts John and says: "I asked if you think it will survive, not if you like it."
John: "I am aware of that. If you let me finish I would have said that despite the Empire's strengths, it has many glaring flaws. One being how it will survive assuming the Emperor's death. I have good reason to believe he is dead but, no official confirmation. I hope that this information will not be shared assuming we survive."
The whole team nods their heads up and down in agreement. John: "Perhaps Vader would take the lead if Palpatine died, but he would also be dead if they were both in that Death Star. I know people in imperial military council and I know a few of the Moffs. Most are greedy people that will fight for control over the empire and that is assuming that most people won't just give up when they realize what has happened. I am a man of reason and my reason tells me that the Empire will die at some point and in some way."
Derreck: "No way! You're wrong. Our leaders will fix the Empire. Even if it's not instant, a strong leader will emerge and unify our forces. We will all live to honor the legacy that Palpatine has created and continue his great work. Then we will destroy the Alliance."
John: "Hmm perhaps. It will take a lot of work to find that kind of leader and would still take time. Even if it does happen, taking down the New Republic is a whole other task. It may be more feasible to rule over less territories and make a treaty."
Chanler: "It's a good thing this guy is a scientist and is not a general or soldier on the frontlines. We can't afford to think like that."
John: "Anyway, T-3 can hack into enemy systems and send a message to the Empire to come pick us up at a rendezvous point. Take me to the rebel radio, because the main imperial radio facility has been destroyed by rebels to prevent this sort of thing. I did some snooping around earlier today."
Next Steps[]
T-3 hacks the rebel station and John speaks in the station: "This is esteemed imperial scientist Dr. Wane. Wane is thin and is about 6'2 with white hair, has pale skin, a mustache, and blue eyes. Repeat, this is Dr. Wane. Requesting for a pick up as close to Station 09 as possible. I have a team of surviving stormtroopers with me." John got T-3 to continuously relay that message. The team waited for hours hoping that someone would respond to the message.
John Wane: "It's getting late. Let's go to bed and get on it again next morning. Most imperial forces have undoubtedly retreated, but a few survivors may be strategically waiting for most imperials to be off guard to pull a few last minute rescue attempts. If not, then we have enough supplies to last one man 3 years. Since there are four of us, make that nearly 1 year."
While the team is getting ready for bed and it is dark outside Katrina heads back to the radio and cuts it on another time. Listening to see if she can hear something because she refuses to give up and thinks that rebels may come back looking for their fallen comrades. Katrina then hears a response from the radio. Radio: "This is Captain Clark the Noble Dispatch. We can pick you up in about 25 minutes, but will need you to get further away from station 09."
Katrina yells: "I've got a signal!" Dr. Wane, Derreck, Chanler, and T-3 huddle behind her.
Captain Clark: "I don't know how dangerous that area is. Ewoks may be scattered throughout and possibly some rebel campers. Most rebel forces have left, but a few may still remain. Your landing destination is about 30 meters out, but you better hurry. Some rebels may intercept this message and find out where your heading."
The team sprints out of the facility, but doesn't notice any hostiles at the moment. Dr. Wane: "Would you young lads slow down a bit."
Chanler: "You've got to keep up doctor. We can barely protect ourselves, but we'll slow down a bit for you."
Derreck: "Should we run through those woods? It will be a faster path and we don't have much time."
Chanler: No! Those woods are death."
The team runs across the open path for about 7 minutes then Chanler hears rumbling in the bushes. Chanler: "Hold!" The team looks around them and Derreck and Chanler turn on the flashlights on their blasters, then an arrow flies from the right flank directly towards Dr. Wane but, Derreck pushes Wane out of the way. The arrow hits the white plating of Derreck's armor and bounces right off. Derreck turns around and Derreck rapidly fires several blaster shots in that direction.
Derreck: "I can't see anything." Katrina activates her night vision. Then Katrina snipes the Ewok and it falls out of a tree. Katrina then notices three Ewoks on the right flank. Two have stones and one has a club. The Ewoks immediately charge out of the bushes and another three charge from the left side. T-3 quickly electrocutes one of the Ewoks from the right left flank and Dr. Wane blasts another Ewok.
Derreck blasts the last Ewok that charges from the left flank. Katrina switches to her blaster pistol and quickly shoots down an Ewok stone thrower. Another Ewok throws a stone at her and she rolls out of the way then blasts the Ewok before it can throw another stone. Chanler shoots at an Ewok that is charging at him but the Ewok dives in the air to avoid an incoming blaster shot. The Ewok flies into Chanler and Chanler braces himself before impact.
Chanler rolls 3 feet to the left and drops his blaster. Dr. Wane shoots the Ewok down. Chanler starts to get up then a stray arrow from the left hits Dr. Wane, causing him to collapse and moan in pain. Derreck notices the Ewok and blasts it out of a tree. T-3 has a low mellow beep as it notices it's injured friend.
Chanler pulls the arrow out of Dr. Wane's shoulder. Dr. Wane: "Ahhhhh!!" The scientist moans in pain and rolls around the floor. Dr Wane: "You could have at least given me a warning."
Derreck: "How do you feel Dr. Wane?" Dr. Wane gets up and stumbles, but Chanler keeps him from falling.
Dr. Wane: "I am very disoriented. I cannot see straight. They must have put some sort of poison in this arrow because my joints feel tight and my hearing is also off."
Katrina: "We are going to get you out of here. Come on guys!" The team continues to advance for another 8 minutes.
Chanler: "We are almost at the rendezvous point! Just keep pushing."
As the team gets closer to their objective, Katrina looks around with her binoculars, "Rebels incoming, from the East position!"
Chanler: "How many?"
Katrina: "I don't know, at least six."
Stay shots fly across from the team from about 80 meters East. Derreck suppresses fire. Chanler: "We'll never make it out of this firefight with rebels shooting at us. I have to tend to Wane."
Dr. Wane: "Don't worry about me lad."
Chanler: "We leave no man behind." Chanler swiftly sits Wane down and returns fire at the rebels. Chanler blasts one of the rebels. Katrina opens fire with her sniper rifle and blasts two more rebels.
Derreck: "They can see us through this open path."
Chanler: "I believe there is a short cut it we go through the woods, but we better hope we don't get ambushed."
Katrina: "Everything is a leap of faith at this point. Its also been 28 minutes, so we're running late. We need to just hurry up." Chanler helps Wane up and moves with him first into the woods. T-3 moves right beside him.
Katrina and Derreck draw fire. Katrina: "Go ahead, I'll be right behind you." Derreck goes into the woods next. Katrina narrowly avoids an incoming blaster shot then she takes out another rebel. Katrina then falls back as two more blaster shots fly from the South West flank. Katrina runs into the woods but, gets shot in her left shoulder and falls as she does.
Derreck rushes to Katrina's aid and suppresses fire. Derreck helps Katrina up. Katrina: "I'm fine, go!" The two imperials rush through the woods and quickly catch up with Chanler, T3, and Dr. Wane. Katrina and Derreck continue to suppress fire.
They make it to the other side of the woods and Chanler shouts: "I can see the shuttle about 20 feet out!"
Derreck: "Good then go! Move forward." The shuttle begins to descend as Chanler takes Dr. Wane towards the shuttle. The shuttle lands and opens up. Chanler and Wane quickly get inside. T-3 quickly follows behind. The rebels continue to close in as their blasts become more frequent. Katrina snipes another rebel then rushes inside. Derreck fires another three shots then rushes inside.
The shuttle quickly begins to take off, but needs to constantly rise to avoid the trees. While it is doing this, the rebels finally make it out of the woods as they close in. A rebel with a rocket launcher takes aim as he gets within visual range of the shuttle and gets his rocket to lock onto the shuttle. The rebel opens fire and the rocket follows the shuttle.
Just before the rocket can land, the shuttle accelerates into the atmosphere and the rocket explodes in the atmosphere. The shuttle then flies into space. Chanler looks at the pilot and co-pilots then asks, "Is there some sort of small fleet we are meeting up with?"
Shuttle pilot: "Nope, this is a minor mission. We are moving completely off the radar. All we have are two ties to protect us."
Dr. Wane gulps in terror. Co-pilot: "Don't worry, there are not as many rebels out looking for us at this time. There is still a danger, but less so."
Dr. Wane: "Didn't they intercept our message?"
Pilot: "We believe they intercepted our message on the ground, but rebel forces in space didn't seem to be nearby." The two tie fighters fly beside the shuttle.
New Horizons[]
Just as the shuttle is in hyperspace route, the tie pilot on the right flank yells, "X-wings!" Three x-wings down form the right direction and immediately open fire. The shuttle accelerates forward to avoid the shot with the tie of the left. The tie on the right is blown to pieces.
The tie pilot on the left immediately yells, "Raahhaaha, take this you rebel scum!"
The pilot accelerates forward and rushes the three x-wings. It immediately fires a volley of five turbolaser shots and blows up two of the x-wings. The third x-wing on the left flank spins left, avoiding two shots. Shuttle pilot: "That guy is crazy, but it worked so far at least." The x-wing has a choice, to take out the shuttle but probably die or the tie and live. The rebel decides to go for the tie.
The tie fighter goes around for another loop and the x-wing re-adjusts itself in the direction of the tie. Then the x-wing blows up the tie fighter, but the shuttle is able to fly past the x-wing and enter hyperspace. As the ship is in hyperspace Chanler asks the pilot, "Where are we going?
Pilot: "An imperial space station in the Galley Sector."
Katrina: "Thanks for risking so much to save us."
Pilot: "It wasn't particularly for any of you. I just want to save as many lives as I can. We go through Hell and don't get the credit we deserve. Only Vader and Palpatine got the credit before for our accomplishments or maybe a few of the popular imperial admirals or generals. Now we are going to get smeared right along everyone in the Empire for this defeat."
Chanler: "I doubt the Empire is going to openly broadcast this defeat."
Pilot: "One day the news will go out. Hopefully when the galaxy is ready for it." John's mouth starts foaming.
Derreck: "Dr. Wane isn't looking too good."
Katrina: "Stay with us Wane." Pilot: "I will make sure that we head straight to one of the Station medical facilities."
The shuttle makes it to the station's orbit. About six other star destroyers can be seen from the station's orbit in addition to various smaller cruisers and corvettes. Imperial officer: "This is the Galley Center. State your purpose and access code."
Pilot: "Permission to dock, we have a medical emergency. This is the Noble Dispatch access code AU54302."
The shuttle suddenly gets as escort from four tie fighters as it lands inside of the Space Station's hangar. Dr. Wane is put on a stretcher as he is taken to a medical facility. The team follows Dr. Wane and waits as he is in urgent care. About an hour later, the medical droid notifies the team, "Dr. Wane will recover. We recommend three days of rest. You may speak with him if you like."
The team enters the medical room; Chanler and Derreck take their helmets off. Dr. Wane: "It's so nice of you all to join me."
Chanler: "I can't believe you're still alive old man. Thank goodness, now we don't have to take care of your droid." T-3 gives Chanler a gentle shock. Chanler: "Ahh! Hey, relax T-3. I was just joking."
Dr. Wane: "It never was my droid. It was just a research droid at my local facility, but I always did fancy it. I guess it is mine now, but I'm old. One I reach my expiration date it will be in my will to have it sent to one of you."
Katrina walks towards Dr. Wane and gently holds his right hand. Katrina: "Thank you so much for everything. I know you just wanted to survive but, we appreciate your help."
Dr. Wane: "Same to you all. I would be a dead man had it not been for your generosity. You could have left me out to die, but you didn't. If you need anything from me in the future, just let me know."
Derreck walks out of the medical facility then stares at the ceiling with his back against the wall. Chanler follows Derrick and pats him on the shoulder. Chanler looks at Derreck and smiles. Chanler: "We did it man. We made it out alive! Our families can rejoice."
Derreck: "Yeah but, the Empire is in shambles now. Whether these people know it or not. Things will change rapidly. I don't know what is next, but the galaxy just got a whole lot scarier."
Chanler: "If we made it out of that hell hole then, we'll be able to handle whatever comes next."
Derreck: "Yeah."
Chanler sees a stormtrooper friend named Bobby and Chanler yells, "Bobby!" Derreck also waves at him. Chanler: "You made it out alive too! Any other friends make it here."
Bobby: "Well, no. But I think we have a couple friends that made it out to other rendezvous points. Especially people that they out in orbit." As Chanler and Bobby talk Derreck walks a few feet away from them then stares out of a window.
Katrina suddenly pats him on the back. Derreck turns to notice that she is not wearing a helmet. Katrina has long brown hair, green eyes, olive skin, and a beautiful face. Derreck backs up in surprise. Derreck: "Wow, Katrina. I didn't expect to see you without your helmet."
Katrina: "Well, it was the appropriate time for such an encounter."
Katrina: "You are an outstanding soldier and I can tell you are a great friend. Please do not be down, we will figure this out. One step at a time. Keep your head up soldier, but let's do something fun in the mean time. What do you like to pass time?"
Derreck smiles and asks, "Have you ever played Race Maze?"
