The Cato Neimoidia Radio Station, commonly abbreviated to CNRS was a popular radio station on the planet of Cato Neimoidia during the Rebellion Era.

The CNRS originally started out as an illegal radio station created by an unknown number of Rebel sympathizers. Following the Battle of Yavin a group of activists on Cato Neimoidia started the station as a method of distributing propaganda throughout the planet, although it is unknown if the station or any member of it was actually affiliated with the Alliance to Restore the Republic.
Popularity[]
The radio station had acquired a large amount of listeners after a few short months, although the numbers vary from different sources, due to the station an illegal operation. Answers range from a few dozen to a few thousand, although no number range was ever confimed. Around the time when it had became popular, the ruling Imperial governor, Baron Tarko had outlawed the station.
Dissolution[]
During 1 ABY the Imperial Police had made an arrest against several individuals who were claimed to be affiliated with the still-illegal radio station. The majority of media outlets did not report on the event, and those that did had a lack of information. According to the outlets that did, it was apparently done after a neighbor reported a disturbance past the military-enforced curfew. Upon the arrival of a single law enforcement officer, the officer found the equipment without a permit and everyone in the apartment was taken into custody.
