Au'riette was a Chiss Admiral in the Expansionary Defense Force. He was adopted by the Inrokini family – at that point known as Au'riette'inrokini, core name Uriettei – and had a distinguished career, achieving the rank of Force Commander. Around 20 BBY, he was promoted to Admiral. He was later sympathetic to exiled former Syndic Mitth’raw’nuruodo and quietly supported his Empire of the Hand.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Au'riette'inrokini was born on Csaus some decades before the Clone Wars, around 60 BBY. He joined the military, being adopted by the Inrokini family. He served the CEDF well, becoming a Force Commander some time before 20 BBY.

Grysk War[]

In 20 BBY, he was promoted to Admiral, taking the name of Au'riette. He was present at the briefing when Grysk forces were first spotted. At this meeting, Admiral La'niere introduced him to Force Commander Mitth'raw'nuruodo. When Thrawn preformed a preemptive strike on the Grysks, Au'riette was against his exile.

When the Empire of the Hand was founded by Thrawn, Au’riette quietly supported it, against the wishes of the Ascendancy’s leadership. Au’riette’s ultimate fate is unknown.

Personality and traits[]

Au'riette was feircly loyal to the Ascendancy and Hand in turn. He was not someone to back down from a fight, standing for what he believed in. He believed that preemptive strikes were useful under certain circumstances. He supported Force Commander Mitth'raw'nuruodo, disagreeing with his exile and supporting his shadow empire.

Behind the scenes[]

Au'riette first appeared in The Sakaran Invasion. He is named after the Au'riette-class fleet carrier from the video game Thrawn's Revenge. His appears in the draft of the story Exile only briefly, long enough for his family to be established and it to be mentioned that he was just promoted. It is more of an easter egg than anything else.
