The Battle of Concord Dawn was the second battle during the Mandalorian Revolutionary War that the Mandalorian Empire thought would crush the United Alliance for Liberating the Mandalorian Empire.

Trams Nylos of the United Alliance had intercepted a transmission from their imperial enemy which showed an attack on the capital planet soon. Trams called in what was left of the Liberation Army to aid the Liberation Defense Army and Liberation Defense Fleet. In spite of the attack, Trams ordered the city to be set up many temporary AA guns, turrets, and weapon caches.

The Mandalorian Fleet started to attack. When they came out of hyperspace, they saw dozens of capital ships and large cruisers blocking their way to the planet. Grand Admiral Rans, who was put in charge of the attack by Mandalore the Insurmountable and the successor of Admiral Sarin, was surprised by the heavy presence of ships. He ordered his Super Shadow Cruiser to attack the ships head on with a three Vanguard Cruiser escort. That turned out to be suicidal.

One of the Vanguard Cruisers were overwhelmed immediately, being destroyed in the process. The Super Shadow Cruiser managed to attack several enemy cruisers severely, destroying two. But, two capital ships cornered one of the Vanguard Cruisers, destroying the bridge, and causing it to collide the Super Shadow Cruiser, killing all of the crew and its captain, Grand Admiral Rans. The explosion from that destroyed the other Vanguard Cruiser.

While the four large Mandalorian ships were attacking the other Liberation Fleet, the other two Vanguard Cruisers snuck around the battle and landed on the planet. Outside the capital city, they rolled out their large army of 3,000 troops. However, they underestimated the amount of troops on the surface which was nearly double the amount of their present forces.

The Liberation troops engaged the Mandalorian soldiers, each side not moving one bit. Most of the battle was a stalemate until the end. That is when many more Liberation Troops came out of their barracks, and the tide turned. They started to push the Mandalorian troops back, many going into suburban farms outside the city.

Once the Mandalorian troops were given a full retreat signal, all the AA guns were ready to fire. As the two Vanguard Cruisers lifted off, shots were being fired at it. The first Vanguard Cruiser that lifted off was shot down, crashing into a portion of the city killing hundreds of soldiers and civilians alike. In revenge of all the loses, the remaining Vanguard Cruiser started an array of fire that destroyed most of the capital city, excluding the capital building and other government centers. They killed most of the army, if not, all of the army, but a lot of the citizens had already evacuated.

This was the second victory for the United Alliance, and that gained them more support have two more planets leaving the Mandalorian Empire and joining them. This would give them the strength to attack the Mandalorian capital and end the war.
