The 369th Combined Siege Division was a joint unit of the Imperial Army and Stormtrooper Corps that was established 8 BBY. The 369th, as it's name implies, was a division of combined Army infantry, cavalry, and mechanized forces with stormtrooper elements, with it's specialty being besieging enemy fortifications and other positions. Led by General Milan Harrsk, a distanced relative of Admiral Blitzer Harrsk of the Imperial Navy, the 369th took part in many campaigns against the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. The unit had proven to be highly successful due to the various elements that it possessed, most of whom became battle hardened and had a fanatical devotion to the Galactic Empire.
The division continued to fight on for whoever controlled Coruscant after the deaths of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader at Endor in 4 ABY. The 369th was taking part in a different campaign at the time, and thus Palpatine assembled Tempest Force for the job of guarding the shield bunker there. The division later fought for the Dark Empire of the reborn Emperor, the Crimson Empire of Carnor Jax, and the Imperial Remnant. However, the 369th first received galactic attention (outside of just Imperial propaganda) after it held out for more than two months under siege from the Yuuzhan Vong. It continued to serve the Remnant after the end of the Yuuzhan Vong War.

Formation[]
In 8 BBY, as resistance against the Empire had slowly begun to increase, the Imperial Central Command decided to commission a mobile unit that could respond to rebellious planets and out down the rebellions quickly and efficiently. For this, plans were beginning to be drafted for a combined elite unit of stormtrooper, Army, and maybe even Imperial Navy troops that could respond to such situations. The plans for it were read by several commanders, including General Milan Harrsk, a distant relative of Admiral Blitzer Harrsk. He liked the idea, and volunteered to lead such a unit. Command accepted his offer, and began allocating several units to the planet of Murkhana, where the combined division would be trained. General Harrsk eventually picked the name "369th Combined Siege Division".
Several units were sent to Murkhana for more advanced training. They ranged from Imperial Army troopers to stormtroopers to tank and walker units. They were first divided into the 1st, 2nd Infantry Regiments, 1st Armored Regiment, 1st Mechanized Regiment, 1st Stormtrooper Regiment, and an Imperial Army Aviation unit called the 1st Fighter Group, along with components of the maritime Imperial Navy, which were called the 1st Maritime Flotilla. Eventually, a battalion of Imperial Navy troopers also arrived, and was placed under command of the 2nd Infantry. The unit had 360 ground vehicles and 260 fighters, most of which were TIE/gt starfighter-bombers. Harrsk had several other senior officers under his command, including High Colonel Felix Haddon and Major Otto Tann.
