The 123rd Division was a division of Clone troopers and later Stormtroopers who worked for the Galactic Republic and later the Galactic Empire.

Deployment History[]

Attack on Rhen Var[]

123rdDivision11

A 123rd pilot running past a blown up AT-TE.

The 123rd Division was first deployed on Rhen Var, where they were ordered to take out the droid command post at the Harbor. They sent in various clone troopers and vehicles, such as AT-TEs, hoping to capture the planet and get a foothold in the system. The battle was intense. The Confederacy of Independent Systems units attacked and ambushed the clone soldiers from the buildings on the sides of the harbor. It was frozen, so the Republic troops had no trouble getting across. Soon, the clone sharpshooters took out the droid marksmen, allowing clone infantry to attack the artillery head on, and destroy it, which allowed the walkers to come through.

Meanwhile, in space, the Republic Venator-class Star Destroyers engaged the CIS cruisers and destroyed their escort frigates. The bombers were sent out and made short use of the main cruisers, so the remaining ships and fighters were forced to split up, making it easier for Republic fighters to destroy them. The Republic then sent out boarding craft, which took action and taken over several cruisers, which were left floating in space, full of explosives. The remaining vulture droids were also destroyed.

Back on the ground, the tide turned for the CIS and the Republic troops overwhelmed the droid forces. Clone troopers destroyed the CIS artillery allowing more walkers to come through, such as AT-RTs. The battle was won by the Republic, leaving a check mark on the 123rd's record.

The third assault on Geonosis was an attack conducted by the 123rd to recapture the planet a third time and claim it for the Galactic Republic. They were picked for this mission because of the success of their last battle, the attack on Rhen Var. The battle started off when the Acclamator-class Cruisers attacked the CIS droid foundries on the planet and destroyed several of them in the first wave of the attack. Many troops were killed, and he Republic troops were forced to camp for several days, when they were raided several times by the droids. Many more troops died during the raids, but the clones that were healed saw their dead brothers, and attacked with rage. They rampaged the droid foundries, slaughtering the droids and generals, who had important information. The Republic put another check mark on the 123rd's record.

Ground Assault on Felucia[]

The Republic troops moved to Mygeeto, they passed by Separatists occupied Felucia. They attacked and tried to take it back, and held out as long as they could. Acklays were first brought out and attacked the clone first wave. Engineers tried to fix the broken AT-TE walkers while the rest of the clones held off the acklays. After a quarter of the clones were killed, the engineers finished and killed the rest of the acklays with the walkers. The rest of the droids attacked soon after, killing many more clones. They were then forced to pull off of the planet due to high loses, and soon after the 501st Legion came to the planet. This mission was never recorded, sense it was never planned, it was unscheduled stop, and so the failure was never recorded.

Battle of Mygeeto[]

123rdDivision6

The clone troopers pulled out of Felucia and headed straight to Mygeeto, to avoid any more loses. They passed by everal Confederate occupied worlds. Shortly before they reached Mygeeto they got news that the 501st destroyed droid forces on Felucia. The 123rd got ambushed when they came out of Hyperspace, but managed to get some troops to the surface of the planet. After the droid lines were ripped apart on the surface, the clones moved on to the energy crystal, and got it and were then forced to leave because their space forces were almost wiped out. They abandoned the planet and went back up in space. Soon, the 501st arrived and took care of the droids remaining on the planet surface, and also the space units. The battle added another check mark on the 123rd's record.

Order 66[]

During Order 66, the 123rd was on Utapau with the 212th Attack Battalion. They were fighting on the upper levels and were not with CC-2224 when Order 66 was given to the 123rd's commanders. After 212th left Utapau, the 123rd mopped up pockets of droid forces left, and pulled out of Utapau.

Battle of Tatooine[]

123rdDivision2

The 123rd Division attacking the warehouses.

Soon, the Rebellion was formed, and the battle of Yavin IV occurred, which gave the 501st heavy casualties, and the 123rd Division got better chaces at beating them in the best legion, but the 123rd wasn't there. They besieged a Rebel outpost on a different planet. The clones, now Stormtroopers, attacked the planet Tatooine, after Scout Squad Seven and the Desert Sands units reported Rebel activity. The 123rd was sent and attacked head on, killing many Rebels on the outskirts of Mos Espa and obliterated the small Rebel tank factory and warehouses. Soon, they moved in to the city, splitting up in groups to attack different parts of it. They took out the separated Rebel command posts.

123thDivision1

The 123rd Division's troops working to split apart the Rebel command posts within Mos Espa.

Before the battle, scout troopers scouted the area and checked where every command post is, and gave maps to the 123rd's commanders, so they separated the Rebel posts from each other and jammed their communications, taking them out easier. The 123rd later moved on to the Dune Sea, where the Rebel Alliance forces and Imperial troops both faced a new threat: Tusken Raiders. They fought each other, but had to keep an eye out for the desert dwellers. They soon won the battle and pulled out to Naboo.

Hunt on Naboo[]

After the Imperial 123rd pulled out of Tatooine with another victory, they accompanied the 41st Elite Corps to Naboo, where a [Jedi]] was hiding. They landed and sent out scouts, which soon found the Jedi, but the Naboo security forces engaged the clone stormtroopers in battle. The queen of Naboo soon joined and the battle was on. The Jedi stuck around the Queen to protect her, but she was soon killed, along with the Jedi. The 41st left the planet, leaving the 123rd to clean up what was left. They soon puled out of the planet.

Hoth[]

Soon after the incident on Naboo, the Rebel Alliance's new base on Hoth was located by Q-13, a Viper probe droid. The Imperial 501st and Blizzard Force were sent in to attack the base head on. The 123rd was sent in after the battle lasted for a long while. The came around with AT-TEs and assaulted the main communications center and slaughtered every unsuspecting Rebel there. Afterwards, they pushed on passed that and attacked the ion cannon. After destroying the outer defenses of the cannon with the AT-TEs, all of the units charged into the cannon's gunnery control room, and killed the gunners quickly. The Rebels didn't know the cannon wasn't operating until most of their transports were sent out, and all but three were destroyed. Soon, the Rebels sent in a force of troops to take back the cannon, but by the time they got there the rest of the Rebels had retreated from the planet, so the attacking Rebel force was captured. The 123rd then left the planet.
