Give it everything you've got and take no prisoners. Soaring Sirta's forever!
—Filar Omana

Filar Omana was an Ectan warrior who pushed for his and other clans to support the Sorians as auxiliary troops during the Great Galactic War.

Biography[]

Birth[]

Filar Omana was born into the Soaring Sirta Clan, an Ectan tribe with a long history of military prowess. His father, Noro Omana, was the tribes "general" and the son of the chief, and his mother was the tribes chief healer. He grew up knowing only the nomadic life of the Sirtas.

===Early Life=== Like other Ectans, Filar's training began at age 5. He learned atachel and crio riding, archery, and desert survival. When he was 10, he left his parents to learn the ancient and sacred Ectan art of swordsmanship from Master Swordsman Xerta Cricks. 5 years later, at age 15, he became a full Ectan warrior.

Pushing for the Sorians[]

When Filar was 20 and a senior Ectan warrior, a group of mysterious foreigners arrived at his clans overnight camp. The mysterious group turned out to be a Sorian Army diplomacy team, sent to recruit the Soaring Sitras as auxiliaries. Originally, the chief of the Sirtas wanted nothing to do with the Sorians. He thought that the "soft" city-dwelling Sorians could never truly fight. He told the group that they were to merciful to prisoners and to enemies. The leader of the Sorian group listened intently, as if he expected this response. When the chief had finished, the lead diplomat made a deal with him. He said that he would request a squad of recruits from a Sorian training camp. He explained that the squad of ten rookies would engage ten senior Ectan warriors. He offered that if the Sorians won, the Soaring Sirtas would support the Ectans, but if the Ectans won, the Sorians would go away and never return. Again, the chief was ready to refuse, but then Filar stepped in. He pointed out that the Sorians were offering to send up ten fresh recruits who had never seen combat against Ectan warriors who had grown up fighting. The chief, unable to resist such an obvious way to explain his point, agreed. Two hours later the fight was over. All ten Sorian recruits were still standing.
