The Empire-in-exile was a state formed by Emperor Roan Fel from members of the Fel Empire still loyal to him and not willing to join Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire. During the Second Imperial Civil War, lasting eight years, the Empire overthrew Krayt and the Sith.
