Rise of the Empire era

Elsiba Ono was a Jedi master of the Old Republic who survived the Jedi Purge and emerged after the destruction of the Death Star II to aid Luke Skywalker in forming the New Republic and the New Jedi Order. Master Ono's origins lie on the planet of Amelico, though she was born and raised until age three on Dantooine. Elsiba is half Satarin and half Amelican. Her father was a Satarin who married a human ambassador of the Republic in 62BBY. The newly-weds decided to move in with family on Dantooine before Elsiba was born and remained there. When Elsiba was four, Mace Windu stopped on Dantooine on his way back from Hurikane, he felt the Force-sensitive presence of Elsiba and requested that the Jedi Council allow him to bring her to Coruscant for training.

When placed in Master Yoda's youngling class, Elsiba made friends with Obi-Wan Kenobi. During lightsaber training, the two often practiced against each other, and once, during a spar, Elsiba experienced her first vision and lost her concentration. Seizing this opportunity, Obi-Wan finished the duel, leaving Elsiba with a burn mark on her shoulder.

Biography[]

Early life[]

When Elsiba was seven, Windu took her on as his padawan learner. She was a very promising student and passed the trials at an early age. During her padawan years, she began to prefer wearing only very light shades. This could have been seen as a foil to Anakin Skywalker, who sported dark colours, reflecting his growing inner darkness, while Elsiba's brightness often reflected her mood and clarity in the ways of the light.

Due to her great force-sensitivity that came from her Satarin blood, Master Ono lived a very long life and aged at a very minimal rate. As such, during the Clone Wars her men mistook her for a padawan, as did many of her adversaries, the latter of whom therefore underestimated her power. When Order 66 was given, Elsiba sensed the deaths of many of other Jedi and escaped her treacherous clone troopers just in time. She commandeered a small ship and attempted to contact any Jedi in the area, eventually reaching Obi-Wan on his way to Mustafar. Obi-Wan advised Elsiba to rescue survivors from the nearby temple on Rhen Var before meeting himself, Yoda, and Senator Organa to discuss the future. When the plans were made to separate the Skywalker twins, and go into hiding, Elsiba turned to the only safe-hold she knew of- Amelico. She contacted her father, who had long-since returned to the safety of his home planet, and requested that he ask the Satarin leaders to allow her ship to enter the force-barrier. Once safely on Amelico, Elsiba resolved to train the younglings she had rescued from Rhen Var and later aid Luke Skywalker in forming the New Republic and new era of of Jedi.
