The Edenic Nation of Arca, also known as the Council Kingdom of Arca, the Nation of Eden, or the Conciliary State, was the government of the Arca System headquartered on Arca. It officially governed the entire Arcan race under the authority of the Arcan Council, however in practical terms many Arcans lived under other states in the Ethereal Demesnes. The Edenic Nation was also often a source of confusion with the Arkanate of Dolidarus, especially due to the latter being lead by the Arkan Council, with both Arka and Arca being pronounced the same.
In its earliest interstellar history, Arca not only achieved first contact with the Ethereal Empire by initiating contact with them before they could follow the Ethereal Family's standard first contact procedures, they also took the unusual step of requesting protectorate status before it could be offered to them. The Ethereal government did intend to grant their request, however, both the Family and the Empire disappeared before they could follow through. Alarmed by their sudden disappearance, the Arcans investigated, and in short order, they joined the Diet of the Ethereal Demesnes.
Thus, Arca became one of the Diet's first efforts at taking over the Empire's attempts to assist less advanced worlds. In the process, they assisted Arca in colonizing a number of its neighboring worlds, extending even to neighboring star systems such as the Ostrilond System and the Favrizine System. Due to the lack of populous systems around Arca, the Diet eventually commissioned them as one of the region's colonial frontier governments to populate underpopulated areas of the Demesnes.
Eventually, over the course of natural cultural and linguistic changes, Arca and its associated terms switched from the 'K' sound to the 'S' sound, sometimes being spelled incorrectly as 'Arsa' as a result. By the time of the Clone Wars, the confusion between Arcans and Arkans had long since effectively dispelled, reduced to mere spelling errors. Similarly, the underdeveloped past of the Edenic Nation was long gone, and the religious leaders of the Council of Eden led their people's efforts to provide others the same aid they had once received, millennia earlier.
