Edea Thon was a female Dathomirian Nightsister and member of the Dark Side Coven during the Clone Wars.

Biography

Early life

Edea was born into the Red Hills Clan.

Night Falls on Kashyyyk

In 22 BBY the Coven were dispatched to the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk were they sabotaged a critical portion of the planet's power gird. Count Dooku offered the services of the Techno Union for no charge and power was quickly restored. This act gained Separatist supporters on Kashyyyk critical ground though they were unable to fully push the world into the Confederacy.

Duel with Asajj Ventress

The rivalry between Edea and Ventress eventually boiled over into a duel at Dooku's Palace on Serenno. Dooku himself had to step in to end the duel before either combatant could kill or injure the other. After a painful reprimand via Force Lightning Dooku reminded they pair that they worked for him and that any further dueling without his permission would not be tolerated on pain of death. Still fuming both Ventress and Edea agreed.

Ordeal On Hoth

Acting upon information from one of Count Dooku's informants, Edea traveled alone to Hoth to search for the holocron of Darth Zato.

Clash on The Undying

In 22 BBY Edea and the rest of the Coven clashed with a Jedi strike force consisting of Master Luminara Unduli, Knights Bultar Swan and Jyuria Song and padawans Barriss Offee and Ahsoka Tano. Interrupting the Coven's search for Darth Scion's holocron, the two groups clashed aboard the wreckage of the ancient Sith warship Undying in the asteroid field that had once been Malachor V.

During the conflict Edea dueled Luminara Unduli.

Powers and Abilities

A warrior to the core, Edea's skill with the Force mostly enhanced her ability to fight and take damage. She was known to have mastered Force Absorb, Force Resistance, Force Jump, Energy Resistance, Battlemind and Force Stun. Despite her best efforts, Edea could only use Telekinesis in dire situations and never mastered Mind Trick.

During the time she spent stranded on Hoth she managed to learn Tapas which saved her from freezing to death.

After joining the Dark Acolytes Edea insisted on being given lightsaber training as she's long been fascinated by the weapon. She was given a standard red lightsaber which she quickly mastered. This, coupled with her stated desire to slay the one living Jedi known to have killed a Sith, Obi-Wan Kenobi, enraged Asajj Ventress. Ventress saw Edea as a possible threat to own desire to kill Kenobi and her position as apprentice to Dooku.

In truth Edea had no desire to be Dooku's apprentice and wanted to kill Kenobi because she believed that doing so would add his "warrior spirit" to her own. After a great deal of saber-rattling at each other Dooku himself had to step in and made it clear that either of them attacking the other would also mean having to face him in battle. The two privately agreed to duel each other to the death at a later time when they could avoid Dooku's wrath.
