Echon Tarkin (also known to family members as Emil) was a male Human who was the son of Wilhuff Tarkin and the childhood friend of Celeste Ial.[1] He joined her on the mission to Voltar in 7 ABY.[3]
History[]
Early life[]
Echon was born to Wilhuff and Thalassa Tarkin on the planet Eriadu in 11 BBY. He befriended Celeste Ial sometime in the early years of his life. After his father's death in 0 BBY he enrolled in the Imperial academy. He was then given command of a group known as the Galactic Guard in 2 ABY. In 3 ABY, a party at the Imperial Resort on Feriae was leaked to the press. This caused the Galactic Guard to become more involved with the ongoing Galactic Civil war. [3] At the Battle of Endor Echon, as well as most of the Galactic Guard, was presumed dead in 4 ABY.[1]
Journey to Voltar[]
In 7 ABY, Echon returned to Eriadu and encountered Celeste.[1] He met Celeste's second-in command, Evan Zenete the next morning. After they exchanged words, Evan sedated Echon and took him on board their ship, the Frayed Hunter. While he was held captive, Aurea arrived and freed him. The two then fought a pair of thugs as well as Evan. During the scuffle, the Frayed Hunter arrived at it's destination of Voltar. Upon arriving, they were attacked by Volta forces and forced to the surface via escape pod.[3] Echon suffered a concussion during the escape. They were then captured by Nationalist troops, only to be saved by a witch named Mila who then captured them.[4] Upon waking up on the Refiek farm, his wounds sustained from the crash were tended by Mila. Once Jax Refiek, the owner of the farm, had given the order, he, Celeste, and Aurea were brought to Nayt Fillion's rebel base.[5]
Personality and traits[]
Prior to the mission to Voltar in 7 ABY, Echon was fairly average compared to other soldiers in his area. He was well trained in close quarters combat. He also was an excellent grappler and could trip and pin an opponent with the greatest of ease. He was also a skilled jumper and had considerable knowledge in military tactics. He could also spot things out of place very easily. During his time on Feriae, he trained hard in swimming and computers. [2]
Behind the scenes[]
Echon Tarkin was created on December 12, 2006 under the name "Echon Kenobi".[6] He was also the first article author Josh Bender created on the Star Wars Fanon wiki.[7] Kenobi was Josh's roleplaying character in the Star Wars Roleplaying game campaign titled the Death Watch Revival. During his writing of Imperial Treachery, Josh rebooted the character to better fit to the storyline.[8] On January 10, 2010, Josh nominated Echon for Best Imperial Individual in the Fifth Star Wars Fanon Wiki Awards.[9] Echon lost to Darth tom's Derdram Zarek on February 1, 2010. [10] Josh nominated Echon for Best Imperial Individual again in the Sixth Star Wars Fanon Wiki Awards but due to a lack of other nominations, it was removed from the ceremony and later placed into the Best Other Individual category. [11] Echon lost to Camilla Sookanado by Trak Nar.[12]
