The Duel over Vuchelle was a duel in the separatist crisis.
Events of the Duel[]
Before[]
When the Galactic Republic decided to take action against the Pirates of Iridium, the Trade Federation sent X'Doc to help the pirates. As soon as the Jedi arrived, X'Doc used the force to find out which Jedi they were. He ignored Kit Fisto and Belsed-Qan Idan, but realised that the third Jedi was his old master, Jind Esimal. X'Doc used the force to contact Esimal and direct him to where he was, on asteroid VL-3. Esimal flew over to the asteroid, and as it was so small, he quickly found the Trade Federation's outpost and landed in the hangar.
The Duel[]
After Esimal left his vehicle, he was immediately met by X'Doc, who drew his lightsabre. A duel began, and as both were excellent swordsmen, neither faltered for almost an hour of fighting.
The two duellists progressed out of the hangar deep into the chambers of the facility. Esimal appeared to be far more skilled than X'Doc. Eventually they reached the power core, and to buy himself some time, X'Doc deactivated it so that the only lights available were those given off by lightsabres. X'Doc then deactivated his lightsabre so that he could hide while trying to get to a shuttle to make his escape. However, Esimal used the Force to reactivate the power core, and sneaked toward X'Doc. He then attacked X'Doc from behind, and X'Doc just had time to dodge, but his hand was cut off. X'Doc then made a run for it, force choked Esimal nearly to death, and managed to escape and return to the Trade Federation.
