Death of Rammar Ui[]

PloKoon

Ui, prior to his death.

After their defeat during the Zungti War, the Jed'ari fled to the moon of Gall. Grand Lord Rammar Ui and his chief counselor, Krayt, were steadfast in their stands to continue to fight until the Zungti were destroyed. Not long after Rammar and Krayt went on a scouting mission into Zungti territory. Only Krayt returned. Rick Mallux, the leader of the Jedi who had not joined the Union, was convinced that Krayt had killed his former mentor. Within a week Krayt was elected the new Grand Lord. Rick, now under the impression that the Jed'ari were in Sith hands, vowed to take open actions against the Order.

Capturing Kamino[]

Lord Krayt knew that the Jedi Traditionalists on Hoth would jump at the chance to kill him. He also knew that he could not have victory over the Zungti with merely the Jed'ari. Therefore Krayt determined that a new army was needed to put his plans into action. He traveled to the Kamino system, which was famous for its state-of-the-art mass cloning facilities. His goal was to create the next great clone army. But he was not about to pay for it from the Order's limited treasury. When he arrived on the water consumed world, he went strait to work. Krayt killed many of the Kaminoians and destroyed all their soldiers. He captured the prime minister and forced him to give up rule of his planet. After he was in control of Kamino Krayt ordered the creation of a clone army, with himself as the template. Likewise, he took control of existing clone projects. When Rick Mallux got news of the uprising, through one of his contacts, he flew to the watery world to confront Lord Krayt.

Welcoming Committee[]

Mallux landed on Kamino without much opposition. When Krayt was informed of Rick's arrival he was eager to dispose of his long-time rival. He order a group of premature clones to destroy the Grand Jedi Master. The moment Rick stepped out of his starfighter it exploded into a hail of burning debris. Master Mallux leaded out of the way, as clone soldiers charged him. The clones were weak and young. Therefore Rick was able to destroy them with little difficulty. He then marched inside to confront Lord Krayt.

The Duel[]

Standoff[]

Master Mallux, how pleasant of you to join us.
—Darth Krayt

Krayt had suspected the clones would be destroyed by the young Jedi Master. When Mallux entered the cloning facility the Jed'ari was already waiting for him. The Grand Lord denied his connection to Ui's death and tried shake Rick's confidence. The Jedi would not waver, however. He removed his outer robe and drew his saber. Krayt, however, refused to grab his lgihtsaber right away, knowing that the Jedi would not slay an unarmed man. Rather you tried to win through words. He talked about an alliance that would rise up and crush the Zungti. Rick would not budge. Finally the former Sith said that he would surrender to the Jedi. But as Mallux marched forward to take his prisoner, Krayt drew his weapon and attacked.

Battle in Clone Facility[]

The duel brought the two opponents into the heart of Tipoca City, where confused residents tried to avoid the conflict. The warriors found they matched each other quite well. Krayt was stronger in the Force, yet Rick was better skilled with his lightsaber.
