The Drannikians were a species of reptilian humanoids from the Expansion Region planet of Drannik. They were a member of the New Republic.
Biology and appearance[]
The Drannikians were noseless, green-skinned reptilian humanoids with a long snout filled with razor sharp teeth, and large red eyes. They stand 1.8 meters in height.
Society and culture[]
Drannikians could work for any affiliation and occupation, and could speak in their own native language. They could also speak Basic. They were one of the 5 million sentient species (alien races) known to the Empire in the galaxy.
History[]
The Drannikians were the sentient descendants of a non-sentient reptilian species. They evolved on Drannik, a temperate planet located in the Drannik system within the Drannik sector of the Expansion Region. Their homeworld was explored sometime between 8000 BBY and 5500 BBY during the Subterra Period to founding of Rimma and Corellian Trade Spine. It fell into the area of space known as the Northen Dependencies. It became a part of Imperial Space between 7 ABY and 8 ABY during The Hunt for Zsinj. Their homeworld fell within the borders of the New Republic between the years 12 ABY and 13 ABY. In 25 ABY, their homeworld's population was up to 1 million. Their homeworld became a part of the Darth Krayt's Sith Empire in 137 ABY.
