Albian Symbol

The Kalos were an order of Force-sensitives dedicated to the study of Ashla. Formed by Sado Madero after the fall of the New Republic, the order modeled many of its teachings off those of the Jedi Order. The Knights rejected some Jedi doctrines, however, evident in their allowance of marriage.

Around 50 ABY, during the reign of Darth Vorsetous, the first Albian Temple was constructed on Naboo. However, most of the Temple was destroyed during the Battle of Naboo, and the Knights rebuilt their sanctuary on the remote world of Dandoran. There, they studied the Force with little interference and received a steady stream of younglings. Just like the Jedi, the Knights would take their younglings to Ilum when they were ready to begin construction of their own lightsaber.

The Kalos teachings generally warned against the use of Bogan, or the Dark Side of the Force. Though never advocating its use, the Knights taught that, if Bogan was to be used, that one should do so carefully. It was to simply be a tool, used for good. They saw that anger and aggression could be a force for good, but if one strayed too far down that path, they could lose themselves to the darkness. One such example of this was Admiral Willium Voggin, who became insane and overwhelmed with hatred after the death of his family.

As close allies to Emperor Vorsetous, the Kalos took part in the Final Battle of Mandalore as members of the Alliance Fleet. The Alliance played a large part in the Empire's success and went on to become a formidable part of the Imperial Forces, coming to the aid of any who stood in need.

After the death of both Madero and his wife, Aura, the Kalos Council was lead by Kara Cath, who continued relations with the Empire. The Ghosts of Aura and Sado remained on Dandoran to guide the new leaders, and the Order continued to grow.
