Dooku was a member on the Jedi Council during the invasion of Naboo in 19 BBY. He was the master of Qui-Gon Jinn. He and Eeth Koth were the only two council members not present during the discussion about sending one of the council members to investigate cloning activities on Kamino, but Dooku returned when Qui-Gon and his former apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi requested that the council train the farmboy from Utapau named Annikin Starkiller.
