Dooku's Fury, later renamed Admiral Ackbar, was a Providence-class carrier/destroyer that saw service under the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Alliance to Restore the Republic, and New Republic. It was first seen in 20 BBY, during the Clone Wars, given to the Zabrak officer Vanto Zahn after his promotion to vice admiral. The Fury saw action during the last two years of the war, culminating at the Battle of Coruscant. It survived the battle, and from aboard it Vice Admiral Zahn oversaw the fighting retreat of the Confederate Navy from the planet. It continued serving under Admiral Zahn after the end of the Clone Wars, during his insurgency against the Galactic Empire. In 2 BBY, Zahn's CIS remnant joined the Alliance to Restore the Republic, and the Fury became an important part of the Alliance navy. It saw action at the Battle of Endor, and became part of the New Republic Defense Fleet.
