Dionne Jinn was a female Human Jedi Padawan. Her uncle was Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, and she admired him greatly. Her father Bil-Gan Jinn wished his daughter to become a Jedi, but his wife Danni Jinn was unwilling to let her daughter go. Master Bechesmy Losh took Jinn as her Padawan learner. Jinn kept a diary during her training. During her initial training in the Jedi Temple she befriended a Rodian boy called Kimür.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Dionne was born in the Jinn family to Bil-Gan and Danni Jinn. She had several elder siblings, as Jaster and Bes-Rin. Her father discovered early that she was Force-sensitive and asked his brother Qui-Gon to come and see the child. When the jedi arrived Danni was reluctant to give up her child and hid the baby in a cradle to the shores of River of Light. Somehow the cradle got loose and floated down the river outside the grounds of Jinn estate, where a greedy and unfriendly vagabond found the child.

The jedi helped the desperate mother to save the baby, which made her to change her mind about letting Dionne go to jedi training. Before Qui-Gon took the little girl with him Danni presented her daughter with a small memento: a riverstone Bil-Gan had found when walking along the banks of River of Light with Qui-Gon when they had been young.

In 44 BBY, when Dionne was four years old, Qui-Gon decided that she was old enough to take care of her stone herself.

You deserve this training, Dionne. Don’t shrink away from it because others are not worth it.
—Kimür

When Dionne was twelve Jedi Master Bechesmy Losh took her as her padawan learner after Jinn failed miserably in her tests in front of two masters, but showed willingness and ability to learn from her mistakes. Kimür, Jinn's best friend, was rather envious of her, and shoked by his own bitter feelings, wondering if the masters had been right not to take him instead.

Behind the scenes[]

Dionne Jinn was originally intended to become a role-playing character for her namesake. When the game was abandoned the name lived on as a nickname.
