Destin Nex was a male Human born on Carida in 43 BBY. He served in the Republic and, later, Imperial Navy, fighting in the Clone Wars shortly after graduating from the final class of admiral Thrar Sargon, and subsequently in a more limited capacity in the Galactic Civil War. Initially a Republic commodore, Nex gradually rose in rank to become an Imperial fleet admiral, the official commanding officer of the Fifteenth Fleet shortly following the end of the Clone Wars. However, secretly, he was part of the covertly-established Circle of Fifteen, being the junior naval officer involved under their senior naval officer and his old classmate, Arius Valdayn. Commanding his taskforce, he effectively established a powerful blockade cordon around any ongoing Circle operations and protecting their facilities, acting as the naval officer charged with ensuring no enemy forces or rival Imperial officers could interfere or even so much as come close to their secret actions.
