Deshet was part of a six-member SpecOps team sent to the Great Chott Salt Flat to destroy a small Imperial patrol base near Anchorhead. The team reached the target and met light resistance from the squad of soldiers stationed their. They neutralized the guards, but not before they were able to send out a call for backup, which was answered by a wing of TIE fighters from Storm Squadron. The fighters swept in just as the explosives were set. One of the operators were instantly killed in the first run and the team's demolitions expert, Rathir, was severly injured. Deshet quickly retrieved the detonator from the fallen Rebel and set off the explosives, both as a distraction to the TIEs and to complete the objective. The four remaining troopers then took refuge in the nearby hills and eventually made their way back to Anchorhead.
Ambush at Yavin[]
While flying a routine patrol in the Yavin system in a modified Z-95, Deshet was jumped by two TIE Interceptors flown by highly experienced Imperial pilots. Knowing that he would be no match for the veteran Imperials in a turning dogfight, Deshet used the TIE interceptor's design for speed and maneuverability at the expense of armor and shielding against them and attacked head-on in his durable fighter. The dogfight lasted for several minutes and ended with Deshet destroying one TIE and the other fleeing after sustaining considerable damage. He than returned to the labor outpost on the planet's fourth moon where his superior was stationed.
