The December War, also known as the Corruption War, and by American citizens as the War of Treason, was a short war fought by the New United States of America and Coalition forces for aggressive actions against the people of the NUSA, political corruption in a Secretary of the Union election, and threats against Union of Independent States members.

Opening Shots[]
On the night of November 30, Coalition strike forces took off from carriers and raided coastline defenses, careful not to hit civilian targets. This initial operation was a success in that coastal defenses were destroyed and not a single civilian was killed. Early the next morning, Coalition ground forces landed first at Hampton Roads near Norfolk. Encountering a small defensive force in the city, American forces were quickly driven back. Civilians cheered as the liberating forces entered the city. Soon after the city was cleaned out of American forces, an American commando jumped an officer from the Coalition forces. The officer managed to dodge the dagger and the commando fell to the ground. A mob of civilians then beat the commando up and when the man stood to fight, he was shot in the back by the officer whom he tried to kill.
