The dark side is not something to be treated with disdain my young padawan. Heed the warnings of your fellow Jedi, lest you fall to it as your father did.
—Wyyrlok's Jedi Master to Wyyrlok in 24 BBY
Darth Wyyrlok was a Dark Lord of the Decreton Empire during the Zao tenj War, and former member of the Old Jedi Order. The Jedi padawan of Jonro Lamai, Wyyrlok, like his father, had been trained by Lamai from his early childhood to be a Jedi. At the age of thirteen however, his peaceful life was destroyed when he learnt of his father's death at the hands of Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Wyyrlok was filled with rage, despite learning the fact that Wyyrlok's father had attacked the Jedi pair, haven fallen to the dark side of the Force days previously. Eventually, Lamai convinced Wyyrlok to forgo his quest for vengeance, but the hatred of the Jedi duo never died.
During the Clone Wars Wyyrlok was still too young to fight, although by 20 BBY he had reached the age of active service, and narrowly survived the execution of Order 66. On the run from the galaxy, Wyyrlok fled to the Unknown Regions and there encountered the fledgling Sith Order of Decreto. Still young and highly impressionable, the Sith adopted Wyyrlok into their Order as an initiate. Wyyrlok trained with the Sith as a learner for many years, aiding his Master, Guerreiro, in becoming the Dark Lord.
During his years as a Sith, Wyyrlok took an interest in the affairs of the galaxy, watching as the Rebellion grew, the Empire collapsed, the Jedi were reborn and the Yuuzhan Vong invaded. During the years of the New Republic he often travelled out into the wider galaxy, not only on missions but on adventures, using a strong skill in illusion to conceal his impressive Sith tattoos. During these journeys Wyyrlok learnt much about the Jedi and, taking influence from the Jedi, he finally learnt to let go of his hatred of the Jedi, and focused his time on developing his skills in the dark side, eventually becoming a true master of Sith alchemy.
In 38 ABY, while based on Nerezza, Wyyrlok was called to the defense of the Sith Temple when the Jedi under Jasca Ducato attacked. Wyyrlok survived the battle, and the subsequent destruction of the Temple by The Soiyo, fleeing with his fellow Sith further into the empire. Wyyrlok survived the ascension of Darth Abeonis to the throne, pledging his allegiance to the Dark Lord and became a valued asset during the Sith Crusade, attaining a position within the Hand in the process and eventually becoming a member of the Sith Council.
Wyyrlok continued to serve the Sith, long past the reign of Darth Abeonis and into the Successors War; becoming an influential figure during the conflict. After siding with no-one during the early years of the conflict, Wyyrlok's fleet was eventually defeated by another former Jedi, Darth Krayt, and the two joined forces to defeat the usurper Darth Proditor. Wyyrlok once again pledged his allegiance to the new Dark Lord, Krayt, and continued to serve, eventually accepting the rank of Sith Lord. Eventually however, Wyyrlok's time did come.
In 214 ABY Darth Wyyrlok moved against the successors of Darth Krayt, the then Dark Lord Darth Mahina. With the assistance of his apprentices Darth Nihilus and Darth Raith the three eliminated Mahina, and opened up the throne of Dark Lord to Wyyrlok himself. Taking the mantle of Dark Lord of the Decreton Empire Darth Wyyrlok ruled the Empire by how he lived; calm, peacefully and without unjust violence. Eventually however his progressive nature brought the Sith into conflict with the extra-galactic Zao tenj, and the Zao tenj War began. It was then that Wyyrlok revealed the Sith that he had over the years, slowly been working to improve relations with the fledgling Jedi Autocracy, and that the Jedi and Sith would be fighting the Zao tenj together.
Biography[]
Early years[]
You are born of a long line of Jedi my young padawan learner, and you shall do them proud.
—Yoda in 31 BBY
Wyyrlok was born on the Chagrian homeworld Champala, to a long line of Jedi who had served the Galactic Republic for no less than one-thousand years. Wyyrlok's early life was as normal as any Chagrians, and when his air-breathing lungs had developed he followed in his father's footsteps and joined the Jedi Order. He joined one of the Order's many youngling groups; Bergruutfa Clan and was trained as most Jedi would be, before he was finally chosen to be the apprentice of Jonro Lamai, at the request of Wyyrlok's own father, who had recently attained the rank of Jedi Knight.
Jonro quickly noted the calm, philosophical side to Wyyrlok, which was evident to all who met him; but as time progressed Lamai slowly unveiled the darker side of Wyyrlok's personality, his keenness for combat and his short temper. Jonro worked hard with Wyyrlok to suppress his short temper, and together the two formed a strong bond; a bond which neither believed could be broken. Things went well for Wyyrlok until his thirteenth year, when he received word of his father's death at the hands of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Jonro Lamai made certain to tell Wyyrlok that his father had fallen upon his own blade whilst attacking the Jedi, and that he had already fallen to the dark side of the Force, but Wyyrlok's anger could not be contained. It took all of Lamai's strength, as well as that of two more Jedi Masters to restrain the young, but strong Chagrian. As the two Jedi Master's held down Wyyrlok, Lamai did his best to calm the enraged Jedi padawan, but to no avail. Wyyrlok was locked in his bedchamber for two days until his anger subsided, and was let out only when Lamai was convinced he had calmed down. Free of his imprisonment, Wyyrlok was taken to his father's funeral pyre in the Jedi Temple, which awaited Wyyrlok to alight it. For three days and nights Wyyrlok wept, the anger in him still strong, though the thirst for vengeance controlled. Lamai watched over the young padawan, leaving only once to request of Obi-Wan Kenobi that he do not approach the grieving Chagrian. After a fourth day of tears, Wyyrlok finally light the pyre; taking his father's lightsaber as his own and continuing with his training. Lamai gladly allowed the young Jedi to train with his father's weapon, although he still maintained that when the time came he would have to build his own; in 22 BBY that time came.
With the Clone Wars begun the Jedi found themselves having to focus their training more on combat than the norm, and as such Wyyrlok was quickly rushed into construction of his own lightsaber. On his first attempt he failed miserably, and again with his second; but on his third Wyyrlok succeeded, constructing a weapon that was almost a carbon copy of his fathers. Wyyrlok then decided that instead of laying his father's weapon to rest, he would continue to use it alongside his own; as he knew it was the closest he would ever get to fighting alongside his father.
Although still too young join active service with the Jedi, Wyyrlok continued to train on Coruscant, although he often found himself alone for long periods of time as his Master was away at war. During these long spells of loneliness Wyyrlok chose to focus his attention on developing his skills within the Force, toying with the ideas of altering his image and hiding himself altogether and eventually developing these skills into practical use; although he was fully aware that his skills were far from perfect, and that many of the Jedi in the temple could see through his trickery.
Unfortunately for the Jedi, Wyyrlok also begun to take an interest in his father's demise, and the reasons behind it; he often sought out information from the ancient Holocrons within the Temple, although he was always rebuked as too young. What little information he could garner however only fuelled his ambition and led to the young Jedi scouring through the multitude of millennia-old hand written parchments within the Temple Archives. It was within these Archives that Wyyrlok first took notice of the ancient Sith Lord Darth Revan and his quest to uncover the "True Sith".
By now it was public knowledge within the Jedi Order that the Sith had returned in the form of Darth Tyranus and Wyyrlok, as with many young Jedi of his time, dreamed of being the one to lend the greatest aid to the Jedi, and began drawing up plans to uncover the "True Sith". When these plans were discovered in early 20 BBY Jonro Lamai was instantly called from the front, and ordered to take Wyyrlok far from Coruscant, so that he could not access the Archives.
Clone Wars[]
Having left Coruscant, Jonro confronted Wyyrlok about his plans. Wyyrlok showed no sign of shame in his ambition to seek out the True Sith, despite Lamai telling him that they were mere legend. Wyyrlok went into great detail about how he hoped Tyranus would have to split his attention between the Galactic Republic and the True Sith, and although Lamai admired the young Chagrian's tactical prowess and good will; forbade Wyyrlok from ever mentioning the True Sith again. Although disheartened, Wyyrlok was understanding, and instantly dropped his overly-ambitious plans.
At his Master's side once again, Wyyrlok was happy to be in the action. Dragged into the Clone Wars by his Master, Wyyrlok showed a tenacity unmatched for Jedi of his rank; and proved his combat skill in the battle of Drongar, where the young Jedi Padawan was cut off from his fellow Jedi. With only a handfull of Clone troopers under his command, Wyyrlok cut his way through the forces of the Freelance Mercenary Corps and returned to his Master; not a single member of his contingent had been killed during the battle. Despite the battle eventually ending in defeat for the Jedi, Wyyrlok was praised for his courage by both his Master and Tsui Choi.
Shortly after the battle of Drongar both Wyyrlok and his Master were once again called into service, this time to aid in the conquest of Praesitlyn. The battle was short and relatively bloodless, although both Wyyrlok and Lamai knew that the Confederacy of Independent Systems would not allow the planet to be taken so easily. As the Republic prepared to dig in, Wyyrlok and Lamai departed for the furthest reaches of the continent, in order to organize a landing zone for the expected Republic army that was due to arrive; several hours past, and the landing zone was established. Together, Wyyrlok and Lamai returned to the Intergalactic Communications Center but were shocked to discover it in ruins; destroyed by the CIS. AS the two Jedi approached the Communications Center they were intercepted by a contingent of droid soldiers. Despite easily dispatching the droids, both Lamai and Wyyrlok knew they had to disappear, as there would soon be an army upon them. Sensing the presence of organics nearby, the Jedi made their way to the secure redoubt that had survived the CIS attack. Once their, the Jedi began organizing the defense of the redoubt against the oncoming CIS forces.
Hours past before the attack finally came, but when it did the redoubt was easily overrun and surrounded; their air support and artillery was destroyed and preparations for an attack were made. Fearing for the worst, Wyyrlok and Lamai did their best to raise the morale of their forces, wishing the Republic would arrive soon, but both knew that unless help soon arrived then entire force would be overrun; fortunately for them, the Republic did arrive with Anakin Skywalker and Nejaa Halcyon at the lead.
Before long, the redoubt had been liberated by Skywalker and Halcyon's forces; Lamai surrendered commanded of the redoubt to Halcyon in order to return with Wyyrlok to the landing zone that they had organized previously. As the Repulbic forces launched their attacks against the Confederacy positions Wyyrlok and his Master made their way behind enemy lines to the secreted landing zone but were soon dismayed to discover that the landing zone had been swamped by Pors Tonith's forces. It was then that Lamai sensed a growing presence in the dark side of the Force, emanating from Pors Tonith's HQ. Although Wyyrlok could sense this "dangerous outburst" he was not fazed, instead wanting to attack the large contingent of droids that had overrun the landing zone. Lamai refused his apprentice's request, instead ordering his apprentice to return with him to Republic territories; reluctantly Wyyrlok obliged his Master, and together the two made their way back to Halcyon's forces.
Upon their arrival the two learnt of the failed attack by Halcyon's forces, and Skywalker's rescue mission at Tonith's headquarters, and both instantly realized that it had been Skywalker's rage that had opened him up to the influences of the dark side.
Battle of Clak'dor VII[]
Good work.
—Jonro Lamai to Wyyrlok following the battle
Several months after the battle at Rendili Jonrro Lamai was tasked with leading the Republic assault on Clak'dor VII. Wyyrlok was tasked by Lamai with organizing the Galactic Republic fleet they had been assigned from Lamai's new flagship Pacifier whilst Lamai organized a squadron of Jedi to accompany the assault.
Wyyrlok ordered the fleet to divide into two forces, one of which would be under Lamai's command, and one under Wyyrlok's. The two forces would approach Clak'dor VII for opposite directions, surrounding the planet and decimating any CIS ships in orbit, before the landing ships made their way down to Clak'dor VII itself. Wyyrlok commanded the fleet, which was then in orbit of Voon, to synchronize their navicomputers so that each and every ship jumped simultaneously, and arrived at Clak'dor VII in perfect formation. His tactical preparations were noted in the personal log of the Admiral of the fleet, Firmus Piett, as being extraordinary, worthy of the highest grade at the Academy of Carida. When Lamai finally arrived Wyyrlok apprised him of the plan, and was congratulated by his Master, who then left to take command of his half of the fleet. Lamai's forces jumped to hyperspace soon after, leaving Wyyrlok's fleet in orbit of Voon. After an hour, at the organized jump time, Wyyrlok ordered his ships to jump to Clak'dor VII.
Arriving at Clak'dor VII the Republic fleets were met by a massive CIS force of Lucrehulk-class battleships, Providence-class carrier/destroyers and Munificent-class star frigates in orbit of the planet. Wyyrlok knew they had caught the Confederate fleet completely unawares and order his ships to open fire, cutting the shipps on the outside of the Confederate fleet to shreds. Now aware, the Confederate fleet turned towards Wyyrlok's forces, only to have Lamai's fleet jump in behind them and open fire. With the fleets now equal strength the battle begun proper, with the Republic fleet attempting to maintain a perimeter around the CIS forces.
For a while the plan worked, half the fleet targeted the Confederate ships en masse, whilst the other half targeted any ship that attempted to break from the trap, but eventually sheer weight of numbers brought the two fleets together. Wyyrlok, aboard the starship Empress, was thrown to the floor when a blast hit the underside of Empress, causing massive structural damage to the bow of the ship and ripping the nose from his Venator-class Star Destroyer. As he hit the floor Wyyrlok shattered the base of his upper lethorn, and it fell from his body. Whilst not fatal, such an injury was frowned upon in Chagrian society, and if word got out, Wyyrlok would effectively become outcast on Champala. Fortunately for Wyyrlok, a engineer aboard Empress was able to fashion a duranium plate, which would fit around the shattered lethorn and return it to its normal position. Not wanting to look odd, Wyyrlok requested three more be made, so that he could place one on each of his lethorns.
Returning to the bridge of Empress, Wyyrlok took command of the vessel once more, and saw that things had only gotten worse. Three decks of the vessel had decompressed, at a cost of over one thousand souls, and half the port batteries had been destroyed, meaning Empress was taking a battering on that side. Wyyrlok order Empress to pivot horizontally, and face the oncoming ships upside down, firing upon them with their starboard cannons.
The cannons blasted through the attacking Confederate starships, destroying two instantly and crippling another; unfortunately for Empress a fourth warship joined the engagement, hitting Empress hard on her dorsal engines, blowing them apart. Immobile, Empress was a sitting duck, and so Wyyrlok ordered the entire crew to abandon ship. As the crew fled Empress the Venator-class Star Destroyer Pacifier came to her aid by covering the crews escape via the escape pods. Wyyrlok himself boarded a troop carrier alongside the rest of the bridge crew and boarded Pacifier, under the command of Jonro Lamai. With Wyyrlok and company aboard, Pacifier left its exposed position mere moments before Empress exploded into a ball of flames, taking a nearby Confederate cruiser with her. Wyyrlok made his way to the bridge of Pacifier and rejoined his Master, who was becoming increasingly worried as to how the battle was going.
Aware of this, Oppo Rancisis another Jedi who had joined the fleet approached Wyyrlok and offered to give him a crash-course in battle meditation; curious as to what battle meditation was, Wyyrlok accepted and was quickly filled in. After a few minutes both Oppo Rancisis and Wyyrlok made their way to an empty chamber and begun their meditation, each taking control of a half of the fleet. At first progress was slow, but it soon became apparent that their plan was working. As the Confederate warships begun to clutter and ram one another their numbers quickly dwindled, whilst the Republic warships performed with brilliant synchronization. Soon, Oppo Rancisis handed control of his half of the fleet to Wyyrlok, while Rancisis himself dealt with getting the landing craft down to Clak'dor VII safely.
Wyyrlok, taking advantage of this new level of refined control took to decimating the Confederate fleet by the score; destroying even those vessels that were already disabled and helpless. Something which, although greatly concerning Lamai, undoubtedly assisted the Republic fleet as those few ships that were not destroyed were being targeted by Confederate warships in order to explode, taking any nearby Repulbic vessels with them. In a matter of a mere hour the entire Confederate fleet had been destroyed, although the battle had not been kind to the Republic fleet either.
Wyyrlok was exhausted; the battle meditation had taken his breath away as he lay on the floor sweating. Oppo Rancisis stood over him, laughing mildly as he congratulated Wyyrlok on his excellent display before leaving the exhausted Chagrian. A few minutes later Lamai entered the room and sat beside Wyyrlok, who was now sitting in a chair. Lamai merely patted Wyyrlok on the back and said a few kind words before ordering the fleet to lay a course for Coruscant.
Battle of Rendili[]
What is your problem?
—Anakin Skywalker
Following the Pyrrhic victory at Clak'dor VII Lamai and Wyyrlok were separated by the Jedi Council in the hopes that it would do Wyyrlok some good serving under Jedi other than his Master. Wyyrlok was assigned to the famed Iktotchi Jedi Master Saesee Tiin, not only because of the Ikototchi's experience but because the Council felt Tiin's presence would somewhat limit the Chagrian's impulsive nature.
Arriving on the starship Sundiver, Tiin's flagship, Wyyrlok was welcomed and told of the upcoming mission to Rendili, where the Jedi hoped to secure the allegiance of the Rendili home fleet. The fleet jumped into hyperspace and soon arrived at Rendili, only to discover that the planet had already aligned itself with the CIS. Undaunted, Saesee Tiin sent Jedi Master Plo Koon and Captain Jan Dodonna to negotiate with the commander of the Rendili fleet. The two were successful and Dillan surrendered control of the fleet to Plo Koon, however things quickly went wrong and mutineers amongst the fleet arrested the three. Threatening to kill the three unless the Republic fleet retreated, the mutineers organized their forces into a defensive formation.
Seeing this, both Wyyrlok and the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker put forward different plans to undermine the Rendili fleet and free the hostages, however both were overruled by Saesee Tiin. Disheartened, both Wyyrlok and Skywalker left the bridge together, discussing the possibility of carrying out the plans against Tiin's orders. As the two talk, Wyyrlok begun to see Skywalker's plan as being the best, and agreed to support him when they approached Tiin a second time; returning to the bridge, Wyyrlok was both shocked and angered to see Obi-Wan Kenobi on the bridge, with a captive Quinlan Vos. Kenobi instantly sensed the anger present in Wyyrlok's heart, and did his best to avoid eye contact in the hopes it would avert a confrontation. Wyyrlok could not contain his anger, and dismissed himself from the bridge, much to the confusion of the remaining Jedi.
Skywalker ran to Wyyrlok's side, the latter having made his way to the starships flight deck and enquired as to what was Wyyrlok's problem. Wyyrlok simply shrugged Skywalker off and walked away; Skywalker had not finished with Wyyrlok, but before he could continue the cannons of Sundiver opened fired on the recently arrived Confederate Lucrehulk-class Core Ships. Sundiver was soon followed by the rest of the fleet, and immediately both Skywalker and Wyyrlok ran to their starfighters.
As Wyyrlok, Skywalker, Tiin and Kenobi entered their fighters Sundiver was hit, and the subsequent power loss allowed for a captive Vos to leave his cell and join his fellow Jedi in their fighters. As Kenobi, Vos and Skywalker made their way to free the hostages both Tiin and Wyyrlok attacked the Vulture droids that were rapidly approaching. Despite Wyyrlok's adept flying skills, Tiin proved himself a master in the hotseat; destroying a vast number of Vulture droids. Wyyrlok was astonished by this masterful display and did his best to keep up with the Iktotchi Jedi Master, soon finding himself in a difficult situation and having to be bailed out by the newly arrived Quinlan Vos. Shortly afterwards Saesee Tiin teased the young Jedi Padawan, although he made sure to compliment Wyyrlok on his competitive nature.
With Vos' arrival signalling the freedom of the hostages, Tiin ordered the combined Republic/Rendili fleet to open fire on the Confederate ships, destroying them in short order. Wyyrlok returned to Sundiver and made his way to his quarters, resting there until their return to Coruscant. Once on Coruscant, Tiin presented Wyyrlok to the High Jedi Council and recommended the young Padawan for Knighthood. Unfortunately for Wyyrlok, the High Council reminded Tiin that it was Lamai's responsibility to present his Padawan for Knighthood, and as Lamai had not been present at the battle a Knighthood could not be conferred. Upset, Wyyrlok left the Council chamber, but was stopped by Saesee Tiin. Tiin informed Wyyrlok that although the Council had held back on a technicality it would not be long before Lamai presented Wyyrlok for Knighthood.
Order 66 and aftermath[]
Damn Jedi, leading us on a goose chase like this. Why can't he just face his death like the rest of the scum at the temple?
—Anonymous Clone trooper
For the next year, Wyyrlok continued to serve amiably, fighting with distinction during the battles of Boz Pity, Xagobah and Felucia. Wyyrlok also served during the Battle of Coruscant where he acted as part of the security arrangement for Chancellor Palpatine's State of the Republic Address. When word of the Confederate attack on Coruscant reached the Jedi Wyyrlok was dispatched to the Jedi Temple, however before he could arrive the Confederacy had begun landing droids on the planets surface. Wyyrlok, along with a handful of other Padawans and Knights engaged the attacking droid throughout the streets of CoCo Town although were soon forced to fall back to a secure position when a couple of IG-100 MagnaGuard arrived.
Crashing through the glass windows of Dex's Diner, the IG-100's engaged the Jedi holed up inside, slaughtering several before the Jedi could form a defensive position. Wyyrlok himself was caught by the electrostaff of one of the droids, but survived despite severe burns to his left arm. In conjunction with two of the Jedi Knights in the Diner Wyyrlok managed to destroy the first MagnaGuard droid; but before the three Jedi could engage the second a barrage of weapons fire from to approaching droid forces outside the diner cut the two Jedi Knights down. Wyyrlok fell to the floor to avoid the weapons fire, and looked up to see the Magna Guard standing above him. But for reasons unexplained at that time, the droid simply turned tail and fled, leaving Wyyrlok and the surviving injured Jedi inside the wrecked diner.
Following the battle Wyyrlok learnt of Palpatine's kidnap and reasoned that that was the reason the IG-100 had left. Lamai approached Wyyrlok, who lay inside the Jedi Temple's medical facility and proclaimed his himself proud in Wyyrlok, before mentioning that he had forwarded Wyyrlok for a Knighthood. Wyyrlok gave a weak smile, although Lamai knew he was at his happiest. Wyyrlok later learnt that he would receive his Knighthood following the capture of General Grievous, who had recently been traced too Utapau. Wyyrlok healed quickly, but a lingering worry in the back of his mind forced Wyyrlok out of the Temple and towards the planets industrial sector.
Wondering the wide streets of Coruscant’s industrialized areas, Wyyrlok soon became aware that he was being followed by a small squadron of Clone troopers. Hiding, Wyyrlok positioned himself so that he could overhear the clones' conversation, and was shocked by what he had heard. Although he did not know it, Order 66 had been issued, and the entire population of the Jedi Temple massacred. Enraged, Wyyrlok leapt from his hiding place, lightsabers ignited, and cut down the clones; using a strong blast of Force Lightning to fry the commanding officer of the squad. Wyyrlok picked up the commanders compad and replayed the message issued from Palpatine, who he now sensed to be Darth Sidious. Not daring to return to the temple, Wyyrlok fled Coruscant; using the confusion on the planet to slip by the normally aware guards. Once in flight Wyyrlok used the Force to convince the crew of the vessel to board the escape pods and leave, placing the vessel under the control of Wyyrlok. Alone on the vessel, Wyyrlok wondered where he could go. Hours past before he was awoken from his daydream, a transmission to his personal compad warning him to remain clear of any Imperial planet; unsure of where to turn, Wyyrlok set a course for the center of the Unknown Regions and jumped to hyperspace.
What seemed like days past in Wyyrlok's mind, as he tried to work out exactly what had transpired. The rage inside him directed solely at Palpatine; Darth Sidious, and his clone troopers; Wyyrlok knew there and then that he would never trust clones or droids again for the rest of his life. Exiting hyperspace, Wyyrlok stared into the vast emptiness of the Unknown Regions. Remaining stationary for several minutes, Wyyrlok was suddenly startled when his vessel was caught in the snare of a tractor beam. Wyyrlok did his best to escape the beam, but was unable; instead simply choosing to confront this new threat.
Once docked with the vessel, Wyyrlok watched as the rear hatch to his ship was torn from its place and a large group of armed soldiers appeared in its place. The soldiers pointed their sidearms at the Jedi and remained silent; not content with capture just yet. Wyyrlok leapt through the air, igniting his weapons mid-flight, and landing in the middle of the group soldiers. Spinning on his feet, Wyyrlok killed several of the soldiers instantly, with the remainder falling back, weapons firing rapidly and aimlessly. As Wyyrlok deflected the aimless blaster bolts, a robed individual ran towards Wyyrlok, igniting a orange-hued lightsaber. Sensing the dark side within the warrior, Wyyrlok feared that he had simply landed within a part of Darth Sidious empire, one in which the Sith had already made themselves known. Wyyrlok duelled with the Sith, the first time he had duelled with a lightsaber-wielding opponent in anger and was soon bested. As Wyyrlok fell back, towards the vessel he had just came from the Sith pressed the attack; sensing a weakness in the Sith's attack Wyyrlok rolled to the floor and impaled the warrior between the hips and through the center of his spine; deactivating his weapon, the Sith fell to the floor. The soldiers had stopped firing their weapons, and Wyyrlok soon became aware of the hulking figure standing by the door way.
Wyyrlok knew he had given into his anger to defeat the Sith, and saw no reason in settling with just the apprentice. Launching himself at the Sith Lord Wyyrlok was blasted mid-flight, and fell to the floor lifelessly. The Sith Lord ordered the soldiers to take Wyyrlok to the vessel's holding cells. Once Wyyrlok had regained consciousness he found himself in a dark, bland cell with no visible means of escape. Wyylok paced the room, which was barely tall enough to allow him to stand fully straight, contemplating this recent turn of events, and how he had allowed his anger to overrule him. As he leant against the wall he heard several clicks coming from the ceiling; looking up Wyyrlok saw the entire roof begin to part and the great hulking figure he had seen before standing over him.
Wyyrlok laughed at the Sith Lord's demand, quoting his Jedi beliefs that the Sith were extinct, and as such Guerreiro was no Sith Lord; unfortunately for Wyyrlok, Guerreiro proved to already be fully aware of the turn of events within the Galactic Republic and the collapse of the Jedi Order. Wyyrlok was obviously shocked upon hearing of the Jedi Order's collapse and Guerreiro knew he had latched onto something. Guerreiro promised he would tell Wyyrlok everything that had transpired with the Galactic Republic on the condition that he swear not to attempt an escape; reluctantly, he agreed. Climbing out from the cell on the ladder that had been lowered, Wyyrlok followed Guerreiro into a large chamber with a massive glass table in the center. In the center of the table was a sizeable holographic projector which, when activated, displayed a map of the galaxy. Guerreiro then went on to explain to Wyyrlok what had happened in the galaxy; the duel in the Chancellor's Office, the execution of Order 66, Operation: Knightfall and the duels on Mustafar and in the Senate, although Guerreiro was careful to make no mention of any Jedi surviving.
Devastated, Wyyrlok saw no reason to continue with his Jedi beliefs, finding solace in his anger for Sidious. Kneeling down before Guerreiro, Wyyrlok swore his allegiance to the Sith Lord and became his newest apprentice. Guerreiro returned the Jedi his lightsabers, although he informed Wyyrlok that he would soon have to construct a new pair of Sith lightsabers. Wyyrlok took the weapons and placed them on his hilt, his first act as a member of the Sith was to execute those soldiers who had fired upon him before his capture; an act which greatly amused Guerreiro.
The ascension of Guerreiro[]
Wyyrlok's training under Guerreiro progressed in earnest, as the days turned into months, and the months into years, Wyyrlok's knowledge and strength in the dark side grew. In time, Wyyrlok also begun to appreciate the benefits of physical strength, something his Master possessed in abundance; and in between his training, Wyyrlok's influence among his fellow apprentices also grew, with many of them falling to the machinations of Wyyrlok's scheming mind.
In 16 BBY Wyyrlok succeeded in eliminating the last of his rival apprentices, and became the sole heir of Guerreiro's power. Together, the two felt it was time to rise from their relative obscurity amongst the feuding Sith Lords to the upper echelons of power, and even power itself. Guerreiro tasked Wyyrlok with discovering the location of the Dark Lord's flagship, and subsequently the Dark Lord himself, so that a quick and effective power change could occur. Within days, Wyyrlok had tracked down the Dark Lord to the dead-planet of Logi. Drawn their by a rogue transmission planted by Wyyrlok, the Dark Lord was alone and soon encircled by Guerreiro's fleet.
As Guerreiro's fleet positioned itself on the opposing flank, Wyyrlok's warships appeared from behind Logi's moon, and opened fire on the lead vessels in the Dark Lord's fleet, cutting through their weakened rear shields and tearing into their hulls. Within minutes the Sith fleet was in disarray, with the Dark lord's vessel teetering on the edge of destruction. At this moment in time, the Dark Lord launched a fleet of unmanned fighters against Wyyrlok's vessels, causing a great amount of trouble for the large battle cruisers. Wyyrlok ordered his vessels to target the droid fighters, ignoring the heavily damaged fleet before him. Taking advantage of this, the Dark Lord began to move his weakened force through the gap left by Wyyrlok's ships.
Guerreiro, not willing to allow the Dark Lord to escape and risk a civil war, threw his warships at the fleeing Sith fleet, causing horrific amounts of damage for both sides. The Dark Lord, determined to escape, went ahead of his fleet, using them to cover his rear, but was soon encircled when Wyyrlok; realising his mistake, moved his fleet between and around the Dark Lord and his own forces. Firing from all directions, Wyyrlok's forces cut through the flagships shields, pummeling the vessel's hull into a twisted wreck before cutting it in two, and allowing the great hulk to fall into the moons atmosphere, burning up on its descent.
Though successful in their coup, Wyyrlok suffered greatly for his failure to apprehend the Dark Lord early on during the battle, and his obbsession with destroying the droid starfighters; having his legs crushed by the Dark Lord.
Under Guerreiro's rule[]
Under Guerreiro's rule, Wyyrlok's standing amongst the Sith rose greatly, his reputation rising in equal amount. By 13 BBY, Wyyrlok had been offered the title of Commander of the Home Fleet, although he had turned it down in favor of studying the tactics of the "Sith" rulers of the Galactic Empire, compiling an ever growing report on the galactic power, as well as the formation of the Rebel Alliance and the war that followed.
Guerreiro had had a great interest in the Dark Jedi Galen Marek and had even considered inducting the trainee-Sith into the Decreton Order; although Marek's untimely death had put an end to this plan. Eventually however, all Wyyrlok's research into the Galactic Empire came to nothing, when in 4 ABY a young Jedi named Luke Skywalker destroyed Darth Sidious, and his apprentice; Darth Vader. Intrigued by the meteoric rise of the Jedi from the ashes of the Empire, Wyyrlok requested permission from his Master to be allowed to use an agent of Sith Intelligence to infiltrate the New Jedi Order, although he was flatly denied. Undeterred, Wyyrlok continued his studies of the New Jedi Order, regularly reporting back to his Master on his findings. Wyyrlok was greatly intrigued by the fact that a small group of Force-wielders were so effective in keeping a relative peace in the galaxy.
As the years progressed, Wyyrlok slowly drew himself away from public life amongst the Sith, making it difficult for all but his Master to contact him. Wyyrlok spent much time patrolling the outer limits of the Empire, often sending probes into the New Republic to learn what he could. Eventually, the relative peace of the New Republic was shattered by the arrival of the Yuuzhan Vong and the war that followed, and many within the Order of Decreto saw this as their chance to strike. Guerreiro, unconfident of the success of an early strike sent for Wyyrlok, who made it clear that an invasion so early in the war would not bode well for them; and that any invasion to be made should take place after the conflicts' end. However, Wyyrlok knew that as the Sith stood, any war with the New Republic or the Yuuzhan Vong was sure to fail, and so he made plans to undermine those who sought to start a war.
In 31 ABY, Wyyrlok and his followers begun a purge of those who sought war with the newly form Galactic Federation of Free Allinaces. After several weeks, the purge ended successfully, with the spoils of the conflict being divided up amongst Guerreiro, Wyyrlok and a select few. In the wake of the conflict, Wyyrlok came to realise that Guerreiro's rule of iron fist stood little chance of success in the years to come, especially in the face of a constantly evolving Decreton Order; and slowly worked to distance himself from the aging warrior. Setting himself up on the ancient Sith world of Nerezza, Wyyrlok established a secluded powerbase along the edge of Decreton space; using his closeness to both the GFFA and the capital world of Ni to his advantage. Although seen as a friendly, calm individual, few among the Sith Council dared challenge the apprentice of the Dark Lord.
As the years passed, Wyyrlok's strength grew, with various minor Sith Lords falling under his sway until, in the year 38 ABY a highly concerned Dark Lord confronted his apprentice about the apparent move for power. Guerreiro himself arrived on Nerezza so as to question Wyyrlok; flanked by his closest aides. However, by this time, Wyyrlok had grown dissatisfied with the apparent weaknesses he saw in his Master, although was far from considering a move against him in person. Called into the Grand Chamber of the Sith Temple, Wyyrlok was asked to answer for his actions; but before he could word reached them of the arrival of The Soiyo, a vessel Wyyrlok had been watching intensely over the last few years.
Battle of Nerezza[]
Quickly forgetting Wyyrlok's apparent betrayals, Guerreiro ordered the entire garrison to combat positions, whilst Wyyrlok hand-picked a select group of Sith warriors to head out and track the explorers; placing upon one of them a live-feed camera. The warriors departed; whilst Wyyrlok and Guerreiro waited inside the Grand Chamber. Eventually, after a couple of hours, the Sith task-force reported making contact with the explorers; Jedi no less, and were ordered by Guerreiro to eliminate them, a move Wyyrlok frowned upon greatly. The Jedi struck back against the Sith, killing many of them until Wyyrlok eventually ordered their retreat to the Temple. Relishing the chance to confront the Jedi of this new order, those that he had studied for so long, Wyyrlok and Guerreiro divided command of the Temple garrison among them, and set about ambushing the Jedi.
Soon enough, the Jedi breached the Temple gate, sweeping through the entrance hall and into the maze of corridors beyond. Cutting through the waves of Sith sent against them, the Jedi were slowly pushed back. Eager to engage the Jedi himself, Wyyrlok repeatedly requested permission from his Master to personally engage the Jedi, but was refused each time. Instead having to be satisfied with interrogating any prisoners; within the hour, four Jedi were brought before the Dark Lord, including the leader of the Jedi expedition – Jasca Ducato. Wyyrlok immediately sensed the disdain the Jedi Master held for the dark side, correctly assuming that he had felt its call previously. Informing his Master of this, Wyyrlok questioned the Jedi as to their reason for being on Nerezza, but was met with solid silence. Wyyrlok's enraged Master ordered the Jedi be taken to the Temple's cells for further interrogation.
With the Jedi removed, Guerreiro then ordered his apprentice to return to Ni, to inform the Council of the arrival of the Jedi, and that his Master would be personally interrogating them. Reluctantly, Wyyrlok oblieged, knowing full well that Guerreiro had sensed the Jedi Master's power in the Force, and would attempt to turn him. Before he left however, during the Temple's evacuation in the face of an overwhelming Jedi rescue mission, Wyyrlok discreetly entered into the Temple's data banks the flight plan and identification details of Guerreiro's personal starship, so that the Jedi might track him.
Sith Crusade[]
Over the next two years, Wyyrlok worked to undermine his Master's position, taking full advantage of his absence due to his pursuit by the Jedi. His attempts were stifled however by the sheer number of Sith Lords who sought to obtain power should Guerreiro die, but feared his retribution should he not. Eventually however, word reached the Council of the death of Guerreiro and the conversion of the Jedi warship to the dark side. Many on the Council were greatly pleased with this revelation, and set about attempting to buy the allegiance of this new powerhouse; Wyyrlok however was more cautious, remembering that the Jedi Master had fallen before, and would likely settle for nothing less than total power.
Wyyrlok's fears were soon proven true when word reached Ni that the newly reborn "Darth Abeonis" had executed several powerful members of the Sith Council. Those that remained immediately realized their mistake, and for the first time in centuries united, to face a common threat. Knowing full well that, should the Council defeat Abeonis, they would merely turn on each other, Wyyrlok was not content to allow this to happen. Over the next decade, Wyyrlok worked discreetly to undermine the power of his fellow Sith Lords, keeping himself out of the conflict that had engulfed the Sith Empire.
Eventually, with Darth Abeonis' power growing, and the strength of the Sith Council greatly diminished, Wyyrlok knew that he would have to declare his allegiance either way; and so arranged to meet with the new Dark Lord to discuss an alliance.
Battle of Had Abbadon[]
As a preliminary test for his skill, Darth Abeonis tasked Darth Wyyrlok with leading the Sith fleet to Had Abbadon, and conquering the Nebulax Empire. The battle was a bloody affair, and the end result was a pyrrhic victory for the Sith. But Wyyrlok had proven himself to Abeonis.
Finding the SpecOps[]
Along with his superiors (Darth Adsec and Darth Micail), in 61 ABY Darth Wyyrlok was chosen to find prospective students for a Special Operations Executive that was to be created. These "SpecOps" would form the corp. of the Sith armies Secret Service.
Wyyrlok himself discovered two of the most famous "SpecOps"; Commander's 001 and 039, both of whom fought with distinction during the Sith Crusade.
Killing Cal Omas[]
Follwoing his success in setting up the SpecOps, and his later success in preparing the Sith fleet for the capture of the 39th at Dac. In the year 63 ABY Darth Wyyrlok was tasked with finding, and assassinating Cal Omas, the Galactic Alliance's Chief-of-State in order to force the Jedi Order hands. The mission was a dangerous one, and many in the Council believed that he would not succeed.
He did succeed however, returning unscathed and jubilant. Fortunately for Darth Wyyrlok he had managed to escape Luke Skywalker, as both Abeonis and Wyyrlok himself knew that Wyyrlok was, at the time, no match for the Jedi Master.
Wyyrlok later lead a small contingent of Sith troopers to Kessel, and destroyed the mining facility which was, at the time, supplying spice to the GFFA's frontline troops.
The rest of Wyyrlok's actions through the war and up until the Successors War are currently unknown, although following the Dark Lord's death, Wyyrlok did hold the power to break away from Darth Proditor's usurped empire, and rule on his own.

Successors War[]
During the Successors War Darth Proditor tried on numerous occasions to overthrow Wyyrlok, and failed on numerous occasions. The two eventually meet in battle over Bespin wherein Wyyrlok's forces decimated their Proditorian counterparts.
He was eventually fought to a standstill over Korriban by Darth Krayt and joined his forces, although it was suggested that Wyyrlok, who was by this time considered by many the only real heir to Darth Abeonis' throne, actually threw the battle for reason unknown. Darth Wyyrlok served as Darth Krayt's Commander-in-Chief throughout the rest of the war. Fighting by Krayt's side at Coruscant and devastating the remains of Proditor's forces at Esseles.
Darth Wyyrlok continued to retain his power, outliving Darth Krayt and into the 200 ABY's. It was in the year 201 ABY that Wyyrlok discovered Nihilus on Roon.
Training Nihilus[]
Wyyrlok took Nihilus as his Sith apprentice after seeing the raw potential in him, but he was not alone. Darth Mahina, the then-Dark Lord had also spotted Nihilus' potential, and was biding her time to remove Wyyrlok, and take Nihilus as her own apprentice.
Wyyrlok taught Nihilus the art of Atra-Manua and had him inducted into the Hand as a trainee.
Many years passed until 214 ABY when Nihilus was approached by another student at the Sith academy on Korriban, Darth Forradar.
Forradar gave Nihilus a message from Mahina, saying that she wished to speak with him, and that Wyyrlok was not to know of the meeting. Nihilus agreed and Forradar made his way back, to inform the Dark Lord of this development. Nihilus also made his way back to his master, but choose not to inform Wyyrlok of his meeting with Forradar.
Two days passed before Nihilus heard any word from Forradar of Mahina and he began to wonder if any was to come of the meeting, but when it did it was quick. Nihilus was arrested by Forradar on charges of conspiring against the Dark Lord, in direct defiance of the Rule of One. Nihilus drew his weapon and struck Forradar down, slaying his companions as well.
Wyyrlok and Raith, both sensing the slaughter, rushed too Nihilus' quarters to find him standing over three dead bodies. Nihilus told them what had happened and about the meeting two days before, being quick to suggest that Mahina's true target was Wyyrlok and that he himself was just a stepping stone.
Wyyrlok agreed and turned his back too the two Sith Knights, in preparation for confronting Mehina when Raith gripped his shoulder. Wyyrlok turned and protested being held back when Raith replied that he did not believe Mahina yet knew of Forradar's failure. This gave them the advantage needed to successfully overthrow Mehina.
Overthrowing the Dark Lord[]
Nihilus approached Mehina's quarters and requested entry from the guards. Once permission had been granted Nihilus entered, closing the door behind him. Mahina was clearly shocked at Nihilus' being there and exclaimed her belief that he was dead. Nihilus simply replied that Forradar's plot to replace him as Mehina's next prospective apprentice had failed and that Nihilus was ready to take up the mantle. Mahina, incorrectly believing that Nihilus had been swayed gave him a test; to kill Wyyrlok.
Wyyrlok was then brought before them, escorted by the newly appointed Hand Darth Raith, and was ordered to draw his weapon. Wyyrlok obliged and drew his lightsaber. Nihilus did the same and proceeded to strike and Wyyrlok. Wyyrlok easily with-held the Sith Knight's attacks but made certain to seem as if he was having great difficulty.
Moments passed and Raith slowly edged his way around the room, until he was standing beside Mahina, Nihilus pulled back as Wyyrlok apparently began to gain the upper hand when suddenly, Nihilus and Wyyrlok both struck at Mahina, impaling her through the abdomen.
Mahina, in total shock, looked down at her stomach and expressed her displeasure at being slain. As a final act of power she launched Raith into an open power generator, severely burning and disfiguring him. With Mahina gone, Wyyrlok assumed the title of Dark Lord, although not without challenge, and Nihilus was declared a Sith Lord, alongside Darth Raith.
Not long after his coup, Darth Wyyrlok published Duel: A history of the lightsaber within the Sith Order of Decreto, and by the year 230 ABY the encyclopedia had become compulsory study at the Sith Academy on Korriban.
The Zao tenj War[]

The year 242 ABY was also notable for being the year that the Zao tenj War began. Despite beginning in a defeat for the Sith, Darth Wyyrlok continued to fight the war for many years until its eventual end in 300 ABY.
In the year 246 ABY he participated in the battle of Hardpoint One and secured a victory, though in vain. For hours later the single largest Sith fleet, under the command of Tai painj was defeated at Chuck's drift.
He later gave the go ahead to Darth Raith to begin digging on Sith'ika after he had supposedly discovered the location of the Sith'ika monument.
Personality and traits[]
Wyyrlok was well liked by almost all who knew him, and put out an ever constant aura of calmness, insightfulness and politeness. Even during his time as a Sith none could deny that Wyyrlok was amongst the more "friendly" Sith in the Order; and this led many to underestimate the long-lived Chagrian. Learning the usefulness of patience from his Jedi Master Lamai, Wyyrlok very rarely let control of his feelings slipped, although the thought of Obi-Wan Kenobi was never far from his mind, even past Kenobi's death. Even as late as 242 ABY Wyyrlok was known to curse the Jedi Master's spirit for the death of Wyyrlok's father.
A trait that also developed in Wyyyrlok at an early age was a tenacity to go in over his head, seeking glory in the form of taking on impossible odds; and was held back only by his superiors; and even then at great labor. As the Clone Wars progressed Wyyrlok learnt to control his hotheadedness and by the close of the conflict had conquered this trait, although it occasionally surfaced in times of great conflict, such as the Sith Crusade, Successors War and the Zao tenj War.
In 127 ABY Wyyrlok proved the existence of Power syndrome, creating an extensive list of symptoms and dividing them into "strengths" and "weaknesses". Although his original list would undergo many modifications the core group remained, proving Wyyrlok amongst the sufferers, along with several other Sith Lords in the Order, and even Jedi. Following the execution of Order 66, Wyyrlok developed a deep distrust of both clones and droids, preferring to destroy them rather than endure the survival.
Talents and abilities[]
During both his time as a Jedi and Sith, Wyyrlok held an unparalleled thirst for knowledge, and an amazing adeptness for absorbing any information he was presented with. Resultantly, this, combined with his high capacity with the Force meant that much like his contemporary Anakin Skywalker, Wyyrlok often saw himself as above the average Jedi of his ranks, and more often than not he was correct in his beliefs.
Wyyrlok mastered an incredible number of Force abilities before the outbreak of the Clone Wars, and this only expanded during the conflict, with many more combat orientated skills becoming a part of his arsenal. During his early years, Wyyrlok also experimented with creating Force abilities, but was unable to do so successfully for the greater part of his life. Although many of Wyyrlok's powers in the Force came from learning, one skill in particular that served him well was bred into Wyyrlok from birth; the ability to heal.
Thanks to his combined Chagrian and Draethos heritage, as well as being a sufferer of Power syndrome, Wyyrlok found himself being able to heal from almost any wound much more quickly than any of his fellow Jedi; and was forced into a Bacta tank just once in his life. Wyyrlok's ability to heal also allowed him to retain a youthful appearance, although this mattered little following his adornment with Sith tattoos. It also allowed Wyyrlok to push his body beyond its physical limits, allowing for Wyyrlok to build up his muscular strength beyond that of a normal Chagrian or Draethos which in turn helped to raise the Sith Lord's pain threshold to unimaginable heights.
Another talent Wyyrlok master early on was Jar'Kai, which served him well throughout his lifetime. Originally fighting with both his own and his father's lightsaber; following the destruction of these weapons in execution of Order 66 Wyyrlok was forced to create two more, this time following the designs of the newfound Sith Order of Decreto. Darth Wyyrlok also managed to successfully combine Jar'kai with Atra-Manua, proving himself a capable master of the dangerous form. Wyyrlok was also a capable writer, and author of the infamous encyclopaedic history book Duel: A history of the lightsaber within the Sith Order of Decreto, which served as the only manual in the galaxy which gave lessons on the basic forms of Atra-Manua; as well as giving an intricate history of the Sith Order of Decreto and the effect of the lightsaber upon it.
