Darth Realgar, born Nevetias, was a Sith Lord that lived several millenia before the Clone Wars. He was the protector of an hidden gateway known as the Door of the Sith.
Realgar was followed by several Sith minions, one being Trebor Ecnal.
Biography[]
Nevetias was born to a woman on an unknown planet somewhere within the realm of the former Sith Empire in the Outer Rim. It had been theorized by galactic scholars that the child had no father, much like another more recent phenomenon, but some sources have turned up information that his mother was responsible for his father's death before his birth. As Nevetias grew up and aged, he became wary of his crazed mother who appeared to want to kill him too. One day, they had a disagreement and Nevetias stared at her and poisoned her soul black, killing her. At the time he could not have known that it was he that did it, however he later felt that it was a just payback for a father he never had, especially if she did in fact kill him.
Nevetias traveled amongst the stars of the Outer Rim and came across an old man who was a trader of ancient artifacts. He told Nevetias about ancient Sith Lords that used to rule in the region. These stories fascinated him and he wanted to learn more. Around the same time, Nevetias had noticed a Force sensitivity in him and began moving objects around his room. But it was no ordinary Force, but a dark plague over him. A cloud of hate filled the room, and a Sith manifestation appeared. The manifestation had originated from him. It was then that he realized that he was special, a being meant for something greater than himself. Someone sensed his power across the waves of the Force and immediately traveled towards Nevetia's location to intercept him. Once encountered, the person revealed himself to be a Sith Lord and offered to train Nevetias in the ways of the Sith back on Ziost.

Realgar was capable of producing Force lightning and hypnosis through the use of his yellow-orange eyes, as well as a Force Trance, to which he could summon any number of beings to his presence. However, his most potent power was that of taking on the form of a Force manifestation, capable of merging with an inanimate object in a sort of possessive state. While acting as that object, he would remain dormant, however aware of his surroundings, and if he was needed, could be summoned from that object. Using this ability also allowed him to live longer as his life expectancy was not used up while inside, rather it was becoming purified with Sith alchemy.
Behind the scenes[]
Realgar is a real mineral composed of arsenic and sulfur. Its chemical composition is AsS. It would not be wise to lick or eat this mineral as it might be lethal to one who does.
