Darth Nihl was one of Darth Krayt's Sith minions c. 130 ABY and a third generation Sith. A former Nagai warlord, Nihl had spent years as a feared scourge on the Nagai homeworld until he was discovered and recruited into the fledgling army of Darth Krayt. Casting aside his former personal ambitions, Nihl embraced the Sith cause and became the first of Krayt's two “hands,” secretly carrying out his Master's will both outside and inside the Sith ranks.
During the Successors War, Darth Nihl led several successful assaults on Darth Proditor's Sith Empire, including the Battle of Yavin and the land assault on Coruscant; personally executing Proditor, and assuming the title of Sith Lord in the process.
In the year 143 ABY Darth Krayt returned his thoughts to an old enemy; Berrek Verk. Word had reached Darth Wyyrlok that Verk had left his self-imposed exile and returned to Dantooine. Krayt, seizing upon this opportunity ordered his two hands—Darth Nihl, and Darth Talon—to Dantooine with the mission of executing Berrek Verk. They later returned to Krayt bearing Verk's double-bladed lightsaber.
Almost twenty years later, whilst aboard the Krayt's fist, Talon and Nihl were attacked by Octom forces. Thus starting the Octom War.
Personality and traits[]
Darth Nihl was known for his natural Nagai brutality and lust for power.
