—Darth Namla
Darth Namla (pronounced Ni-ma-la) was a member of the Dark Council shortly after the purging of the preceding council. During this time—and beforehand—Namla had an ongoing rivalry with Scarlet and Darth Nyriss, who were both Dark Council members as well. During Namla's early years going into adolescence, Namla was raised in a physically abusive environment from both of her parents. Using her trauma as fuel for the Dark Side, she eventually murdered both of her parents using her signature power, Force break. Namla also formed a competitive rivalry with the Sith Lord, Scarlet, not long after.
After Darth Exitium returned from his consciousness imprisonment in the Dark Temple's Sith holocron, Darth Namla betrayed the Emperor to join Exitium's crusade; feeling the Emperor lacked true substance to rule the Sith Empire and becoming impatient with his behind the scenes manipulation. Throughout the entire Great Sith Civil War, Darth Namla was a general for the Rogue Sith alongside Naiko. While he controlled the Rogue's navy and intelligence, Namla took charge of the ground army.
She also commanded a personal strike force of Sith Hunters during missions. Thus, whenever Namla went into battle, she was always escorted by them. During the last year of the Great Sith Civil War, Namla would deploy her Sith Hunters at various locations to either capture or kill, the Dark Hero and his companions. Namla was especially interested in hurting Scarlet by torturing The Dark Hero, but Exitium strictly forbade any direct harm him.
During the war's final battle in the Second Battle of Dromund Kaas, Namla and her strike force infiltrated the Imperial Citadel—killing at least two Dark Council members along the way. In the last moments of the battle, Darth Namla eventually met her end at Scarlet's hands when the two long-rivaled Sith Lords engaged in a fatal duel within the Dark Council's Chamber Room. In her last moments, Namla was finally able to find release from her lifelong rage. Finding peace and forgiveness for herself and her parents.
Personality and traits[]
The enemy has escaped, Naiko, because of your incompetence.
—Darth Namla blaming Naiko for the Dark Hero's escape.
Darth Namla was a very aggressive and stubborn woman--and also physically violent. She also did not get along well with her partner, Naiko. The two would constantly fight against each other whenever a mission did not go as planned. However, due to Lord Exitium's command, neither one could actually kill, or attack, the other. Even during times when the war effort went well for them, Namla was still bitter against Naiko--not being the one to let go of grudges. Due to their mutual hatred, Namla and Naiko almost always kept away from each other; only coming together when on a common mission--or when communicating with Exitium via the Depressor's hologram.
Powers and abilities[]
You were always a weak one, Scarlet. That is why you lost everything.
—Darth Namla mocking Scarlet.
Namla was highly skilled with the double-bladed lightsaber, and various other Dark Side powers. Her signature Force power was Force break, which caused all enemies to have their necks violently twisted. However, as with Scarlet, Namla was at her most powerful when it came to raw lightsaber combat. Unlike Scarlet, however, Namla focused mostly on causing as much physical damage, pain, and death as she possibly could. Namla would regularly use Form VII: Juyo while in lightsaber combat.
Due to Namla's very physical and intense presence, she is regarded as the face of the Rogue Sith. However, due to her persistent intense rage and increasing codependency on the Dark Side, her body became more rapidly aged.
Behind the scenes[]
The name "Namla" is an Arabic word meaning "Ant".
Namla is also nicknamed as the "Mistress of Fire" by Scarlet and the Sith Empire.
Namla's dysfunctional relationship with Naiko parallels to the alliance between Scarlet and Byron.
After completing the first third of the Fall of the Empire campaign, Darth Namla would appear on the main menu following Naiko.
Darth Namla is loosely imagined after actress, Suzanne Pleshette.
