Darth Mowbris was a Force-sensitive Chiss male who served as Dark Lord of the Sith after Darth Syrinn took him on as her apprentice. In the tradition of the Rule of Two he went on to kill his master and take on the mantle of Sith Master for himself.
Biography[]
Mowbris was born on Csilla and lived a fairly sheltered early life until he left his homeworld in his teenage years to see the galaxy. He eventually discovered his latent Force potential and was considering traveling to Coruscant to join the Jedi Order in spite of his advanced age when Darth Syrinn discovered him while on a mission to retrieve an ancient artifact. His skill with the Force despite his lack of training impressed her and she took him on as an apprentice, giving him the name Darth Mowbris. However, over the course of their six years as master and apprentice Syrinn began to doubt her student's commitment to the dark side as he was not invested in expanding his knowledge of the Sith and was at one stage planning to replace him. In 689 BBY Mowbris helped to orchestrate a Twi'lek shamanistic essence transfer ritual Syrinn performed to enter the younger body of Nautolan Jedi Knight Nakaya Riso but interrupted it by attacking her, causing her to be unprepared when her spirit shifted into the Nautolan's body. Mowbris almost defeated her in an ensuing onslaught but she stopped him with a Force barrier and explained that she now realized that he was indeed a true Sith and thus ready to supplant her, offering herself to be struck down as long as he complied with her final wishes. He ended her life with his lightsaber and became Sith Master, burying both of his master's bodies in a cavern on Yavin 4.

Mowbris was created by HarmonyGrex for his short story Dark Sirens, though Syrinn's apprentice was indirectly mentioned in her first appearance in Ancient Artifice. As the story's focus was on providing additional information on Darth Syrinn's life it seemed natural to include her apprentice in the story.
