People, possessions, power... means to an end.
—Darth Melekor
Darth Melekor was a blind Sith lord known for his practices and advancements in alchemy and sorcery, as well as his pursuit of an altogether unusual adaptation of the eternal life many Sith have strived for. The blind Echani was first brought to Korriban when slavers that had captured him realized he had incredible awareness and fighting prowess. He was trained in the academy as an inquisitor, one who would travel throughout the Sith Empire and purge the weak and unfaithful.
During his travels he was taken captive by the dark-side user Kwagar Ocata, a madman who believed himself to be some sort of god. Under Lord Ocata, he developed something like Stockholm Syndrome, and became a patriot for his cause, taking the name Dieta Umbra. He would remain in Ocata's service for some years before escaping the cult and fleeing known space with his apprentice Jágger.
When Melekor entered Sith space again, he had changed in appearance and ability. In his "return from death" to the Empire, he sought out and destroyed Ocata's cult. After time spent on Dromund Kaas, he revealed his new-found powers of sorcery and alchemy. He spent time making grotesque repairs to his vision and body modifications that left him scarred and mutilated. He would be made a Darth and spend much of his time secretly pursuing long lost secrets and rituals.
After the invasion of Zakuul, Darth Melekor isolated himself in a meditation chamber deep in the bowels of an outer rim planet. He remained there for several years until just after the famed Outlander began the alliance to end Emperor Arcann. When the darth emerged, his body had deteriorated the point of having to live in a constant life-support suit, with only his rage and Sith alchemy keeping his body assembled.
