Darth Mahina was an unofficial protegé of Darth Krayt, and eventually the Dark Lord of the Decreton Empire during the early 200 ABY's. She assumed power through unknown means but was eventually overthrown by Darth Wyyrlok in 214 ABY, with the assistance of his apprentice, Darth Nihilus, and Darth Raith.
History[]
Mahina was present at the initial training sessions of the newly titled Darth Nihilus and quickly saw his potential. Once she had finished with her then Sith apprentice, she was stuck with a new problem.
Both Nihilus, and Forradar were strong willed and powerful Force users, and both showed an interest in leaving their current masters and joining Mahina. Forradar was the first to show a real interest however when he broke into Mahina's quarters and exclaimed his wish to become her apprentice.
Mahina, although impressed still wished for more, and ordered Forradar to present Nihilus with her offer of apprenticeship. Forradar, although infuriated, oblieged.
Forradar gave Nihilus Mahina's message, and in turn received no reply. The next thing Mahina heard was that Forradar had attempted to arrest Nihilus and failed.
Overthrown[]
Nihilus approached Mehina's quarters and requested entry from the guards. Once permission had been granted Nihilus entered, closing the door behind him. Mahina was clearly shocked at Nihilus' being there and exclaimed her belief that he was dead. Nihilus simply replied that Forradar's plot to replace him as Mehina's next prospective apprentice had failed and that Nihilus was ready to take up the mantle. Mahina, incorrectly believing that Nihilus had been swayed gave him a test; to kill Wyyrlok.
Wyyrlok was then brought before them, escorted by the newly appointed Hand Darth Raith, and was ordered to draw his weapon. Wyyrlok oblieged and drew his lightsaber. Nihilus did the same and procceded to strike and Wyyrlok. Wyyrlok easily with-held the Sith Knight's attacks but made certain to seem as if he was having great difficulty.
Moments passed and Raith slowly edged his way around the room, until he was standing beside Mahina, Nihilus pulled back as Wyyrlok apparently began to gain the upper hand when suddenly, Nihilus and Wyyrlok both struck and Mahina, impaling her through the abdomen.
Mahina, in total shock, looked down at her stomach and expressed her displeasure at being slain. As a final act of power she launched Raith into an open power generator, severely burning and disfiguring him. With Mahina gone, Wyyrlok assumed the title of Dark Lord, although not without challenge, and Nihilus was declared a Sith Lord, alongside Darth Raith.
