Darth Exitium was a Sith who lived during the time of the Great Hyperspace War and later became one of the four Dark Lords of the Sith Tetrarchy.
As a young child, he went to the Trayus academy on Malachor V and lived there until 4,999 BBY. During his tenure in the Trayus Academy, Exitium learned the ability to project his consciousness outside his physical body. In 4,999 BBY, his entire family was killed when the Sith Emperor performed a ritual on Nathema, his home world. Two decades later, after the Sith discovered Dromund Kaas, he returned to Nathema and saw the devastation. He later began believing that Vitiate was responsible for its demise. He told his brother, The Dark Hero, about this and the two went to face the Emperor in the Dark Temple. During the fight, the Dark Hero betrayed Exitium and he was strike down by the Emperor. But Exitum's consciousness still reminded, trapped inside a Sith holocron.
It wasn't until thousands of years later he was unintentionally set free when a member of the Dark Council, who was in hiding of the Emperor after the Purge of the Dark Council. Exitium took over the Sith Lord's body and claimed it as his own. He also wore new red and golden robes and a mask to conceal the body of his host.
Biography[]
Early years[]
Born on Nathema on 5,025 BBY. At a young age, he and his brother was sent to the Trayus Academy on Malachor V for their Sith training. On 4,999 BBY, the Emperor performed a ritual that killed all life on Nathema—with Exitium's family being some of the many causalities. It wasn't until 4,980 BBY that Exitium returned to Nathema and saw the devastation. Feeling the emptiness of the now dead world, he recongnized neither the Republic nor the Jedi were responsible for the destruction. Exitium became suspicious of the Emperor, as he was the world's ruler and sole survivor.
Exitium went to confront the Emperor in the Dark Temple with his brother, Darth Nectere. However, during the encounter, Nectere betrayed his brother—believing the Emperor is the path to power. Exitium was struck down by his brother and believed to be dead. Unknown to Nectere or the Emperor, Exitium transferred his consciousness to a nearby Sith holocron.
Return[]
In 3,950 BBY, a survivor of the Purge of the Dark Council took shelter within the Dark Temple. While here, he discovered the holocron and could sense intense power of the Dark Side within it. The Dark Councilor activated the holocron, breaking Exitium free and now taking over the Sith Lord's body.
Now free from his imprisonment, Exitium returned to Kaas City, unaware of the events that recently transpired there. Upon arriving, he was attacked by the Emperor's forces. After dealing with them, he interrogated one of one the attacker's to get information on all that has happened recently. With the accquired knowledge, he started to persuade people into joining him to overtake the Emperor. While not able to persuade everyone, he did get enough to launch a direct attack. Two key people he was able to persuade where Naiko; the minister of Imperial Intelligence, and Darth Namla; one of the members of the recently formed Dark Council.
With them, and the rest of his followers, Exitium started the First Battle of Dromund Kaas, the first battle of the Great Sith Civil War. During the battle, Naiko used his ship, the Depressor, while Darth Namla lead the rest of the army and Sith hunters on the ground. Exitium himself went to confront the Emperor, but was unable to kill him. As such, Exitium was forced to retreat with the Rogue Sith.
The Sith holocrons[]
Later on in that same year, his brother, and now enemy, The Dark Hero, had been resurrected by the Emperor in an attempt to stop Exitium. During The Dark Hero's lifetime, Exitium had followed him using the Force bond that remained between them and used Vitiate's palace as his personal living home and hideout.
Also, during this time, Exitium created five holocron's—which were intended for the Dark Hero to discover—in hopes of him regaining his memories.
While going on a journey to find these holocrons, the Dark Hero was captured on Athiss and taken on board on the Depressor. Here, he met Exitium via hologram. Shortly after, the Dark Hero escaped from the Depressor with the help of his allies.
Final moments[]
Once the Dark Hero located all five of the Sith holocrons, he gained back memories from his past incarnation as Darth Nectere. A vision of Darth Exitium came to him, hinting at where he must go next. It was at this point, when the Dark Hero remembered about the Force dyad bond them—and how it could be used to find Exitium. The Dark Hero, relying on the Force dyad, found Exitium living in the abandoned palace on Nathema.
After thousands of years, the two reunited once more and had a duel to the death. After a long and fierce duel, Exitium was finally slain by his brother. Despite Exitium's hatred for him, he warned him of the Emperor's true intentions for the galaxy. With that, Exitium finally returned to the Force.
Personality and traits[]
Darth Exitium, unlike other Sith, mostly focused on killing and destroying his own kind rather than the Jedi or the Republic. When he founded the Rogue Sith he did not have much care in them and handed direct leadership to Darth Namla and Naiko. Only on certain situations would he ever command the organization to perform missions or other goals, such as launching a full-frontal assault on Kaas City.
Other noticeable traits of Exitium was that he was unusual clam, though he did have his limits. He also expressed his distaste for the traditional Sith culture, believing it was self-destructive. He believed the Sith needed to evolve from its old ways if it was going to survive. After being betrayed by his brother, Exitium grew an intense hatred for the Sith code. After creating the Rogue Sith, he manipulated them to kill the forces still sided with the Emperor in hopes of being able to get them to kill each other. In the end, he intentionally sends the Rogues on a suicide mission to attack Kaas City.
Powers and abilities[]
Exitium is considered to be one of the most powerful Sith Sorcerer's and alchemists of his time. He mastered the power of Transfer essence, could create powerful armies of Sithspawn, and create Sith holocrons. Exitium was also talented with creating Force phantoms by working with Force energy from Dark Side nexus'. Due to his bond with The Dark Hero, Exitium was able to project and manifest himself to the Sith Lord during his lengthy travels on the Ebon Hawk.
Having great knowledge of the Force, Exitium was a master of all four forms of the Force. Exitium received his entire Sith training and education from the Trayus Academy.
Exitium's ability in lightsaber combat however was his weakest skill, but he made up for it with the help of his unique black lightsaber and mastery of lighsaber forms II: Makashi and form III: Soresu. The saber itself is powered by Dark Side energy from Malachor V and the alchemy Exitium used to modify it almost gave it a will of its own—attacking anyone who tried to posses it.
