The Darth Dude Empire, also known as the Byss Empire, was formed in 208 BBY by Darth Dude. In 70 ABY, with Darth Dude's death, Ieha Weyx assumed control of the Empire. The Empire was completely destroyed in 71 ABY at the Battle of Reldar Prime with the obliteration of its fleets, with a follow-up invasion of its member worlds removing its presence from the Galaxy.

History[]

The Dude Empire had beginnings in 208 BBY, when Darth Dude, a member of the Kroprulan Sith Empire, was wounded and stranded on the Core World Byss.

Beginnings[]

In 208 BBY, Darth Minious and Darth Dude were sent by Empress Tarias to eradicate a Jedi presence on the Core World. Realizing it was an ambush, Minious managed to fight his way off-planet, leaving Dude—who he had presumed dead—behind.

Wounded, Dude was taken in by the Jedi, who refused to kill an unarmed prisoner. Slowly corrupting them as his strength resumed, Dude formed his Sith Order, and over time, began expanding his influence, drawing ships to him, creating a small armada, which he used to quietly conquer more Core planets, until he could begin producing an army and navy.

Revelation[]

In 39 ABY, Dude's Empire had reached a level at which he believed he was ready to unveil his full force to the Galaxy. Taxing many trade routes, he sent a small contingent of loyal Sith to Corellia, where it was known Minious was on a mission. There it was revealed to him that Dude still lived, and upon making his way back to Kroprulu, the realization that not only was Dude alive, but he had an Empire under his command.

Destruction[]

After Dude's death in 70 ABY, it was clear the Empire was shattered. Weyx, deciding on a final push, regrouped his fragile navy, and struck what he hoped would be a killer blow to Reldar Prime, on which a Jedi Praxeum, Grey Temple, and Sith Academy presided. Instead, the Sith, Jedi, and Grey Orders repelled the Byss Empire, as it had been known after Dude's death.

In a final push, they eradicated all Byss presence on its member worlds, and in a final push at the very end of 71 ABY, destroyed the Sith citadel on Byss, marking an end of the troublesome war that had lasted thirty-two years. However, it is generally accepted the war ended with the Battle of Reldar Prime.
