The Jedi do not understand pain.
—Darth Dinek
Darth Dinek was a near immortal Sith Lord who lived for thousands of years on Korriban in constant meditation.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Born on the Twi'lek homeworld Ryloth, Anoon Kairn was recognized as being Force sensitive as an infant, which caused the Jedi Order to show interest in takin him in as a Padawan. After some covincing, Kairn's mother realized that her son was gifted in the force and gave him up to the Jedi.
Upon arriving in Coruscant, Kairn was raised, as all future Padawans are, until he was old enough to begin training.
Kairn responded to training extremely well, showing great aptitude to mainpulate The Force. Eventually, he completed the Jedi trials and became a Jedi Knight himself.
As a Jedi[]
As was customary of the Jedi, whenever a presence in The Force was sensed or a rumor of a child with special abilities was heard by the Jedi, they would send a Knight to investigate in the hopes of recruiting more future Padawans. Kairn was sent to the planet Cholganna, in the Outer Rim, to investigate a possible Force sensitive child sensed on the planet.
When he arrived on the planet, in one of the deepest jungles on the remote world, Kairn found that the presence was, not the growing of a young Force sensitive child, but a small tribe of a primitive species worshipping at the statues of ancient Force users at the ruins of an abandoned temple from the time before those who studied The Force split into Jedi and Sith. The temple intrigued Kairn, but the rather unremarkable discovery of the primitive tribe meant that there would be no potential Padawan, so Kairn went to return to his ship.
Before he could return to his ship, Kairn was attacked by a Nexu, which ripped his Twi'lek head tails from his head. He was barely able to escape onto his ship, and survived the trip back to Coruscant because of medical attention from his Droids onboard.
Indulging in Sith practices[]
The loss of his head tail, which act as a way of sensing emotions not just in other Twi'lek, but in any species a Twi'lek comes in contact with, caused Kairn to become cold and depressed.
He tried to seek out a better connection to The Force and returned to the ancient temple on Cholganna. He began meditating in the temple and soon found that he enjoyed that the primitive tribespeople thought of him as a religious figure.
Eventually, Kairn began to doubt his semse of belonging in the Jedi Order and began to seek knowledge in all aspects of The Force. He traveled to the barren, tomb-filled homeworld lf the Sith, Korriban, and sought out the tomb of ancient Sith warrior and philosopher Darth Hask. He even gave himself the name of Darth Dinek. Kairn entered a deep state of meditation upon finding the tomb, and was never heard from again by the Jedi Order.
Death[]
Almost 3,000 years after his birth, Kairn was awoken by a team of explorers who were sent to explore the outer reaches of the Galaxy. Darth Dinek began slaughtering the explorers who entered the tomb, but the others managed to escape the planet. Realizing that his own ship would never work after thousands of years, Darth Dinek was stranded on Korriban, where he presumably died of natural causes, no longer sustained by his meditation.
