The Dark Republic Incident refers to an incident during the Clone Wars. Anakin Skywalker had Hyperspace Fever, which caused him to lose his mind temporarily. One such time came when addressing a bunch of Separatist prisoners on the ship Dark Republic. A prisoner threw a piece of floor at him, right as he experienced a lap in control, and he slaughtered all 500 on board before coming back to his senses. He then slew the five guards sent to accompany him to keep them silent.
