The Dark Republic, sometimes mistakenly called the Dark Galactic Republic, often referred to as the Black Republic, was a government formed to replace the remnants of the collapsed Galactic Republic. The clone troopers who survived Order 51 were greatly against the creation of the new Republic and built an alliance known as the Clone Rebel Alliance to oppose the Dark Republic. The acts of rebellion executed by the clones and the respond given by the Republic ultimately led to the eruption of a Third Clone Wars.
