The Dark Order of the Empire, also sometimes referred to as the New Sith Empire was a branch of the Imperial remnant controlled by Darth Lucid after the Battle of Endor. It was among the largest military forces in the galaxy at the time with a massive navy and army, and four sectors under its control by the end of 6 ABY.
Government[]
The Dark Order was a dictatorship, built upon many of the same principles of the Galactic Empire. The primary difference was leadership, in that Darth Lucid preferred to keep a council of the same military advisers, whereas Palpatine was more likely to keep council with different people so as not to depend on a few individuals. Lucid however, saw his inner circle as the lifeblood of his force and trusted their guidance. His advisory council consisted of Darth Krell, Admiral Piett, General Max Veers, General Ginn Flytte, Vice Admiral Warwen Peck, and Vice Admiral Jorgan Kande.
Military[]
The Dark Order had a huge fleet of warships, consisting of Imperial Star Destroyers, Victory cruisers, Interdictors, dreadnoughts, and other large craft. The fleet was commanded by Admiral Piett and his flagship the Super Star Destroyer Executor .
As of 9 months before the Battle of Coruscant, there were nearly 2200 capital ships and 9 million ground soldiers (including 1.2 million Stormtroopers) in the Dark Order fleet.
