Darius Chranell was a Human male Jedi Master that served as a Jedi General in the Grand Army of the Republic. His father was Za'deius Chranell, the senator of Zhar following Zaxdis Nebulax. Chranell's Padawan was Gyda Kartin.
Chranell led the 73rd Shadow Battalion, and later commanded a second fleet, previously commanded by Jack Nebulax. Before being put in charge of the 73rd, Chranell fought in the First Battle of Kamino, with a squadron of Delta-7 interceptor fighters. He was part of the Jedi squadron that shot down many Vulture droid starfighters before victory was declared.
Chranell also fought in the Battle of Neimoidia. After Order 66 was issued he fled to Had Abbadon. He was killed by Nebulax after the captain and his fleet discovered the location of the traitorous forces.
