The Creed are the only rules I ever had to live by. I do not care for politics, or ideals, or morality. I was born to serve my Guide, I was raised to serve my Guide, and I shall die having served my Guide. Any decisions I may have made to achieve that goal are ultimately irrelevant.
—Daor Hassrath to Emeric Armac Aloysaine
Daor Hassrath (Garganese: "Dagger of the Ice Winds"), born as Ervindium Dagzdan was a Force-sensitive Tyrrhan who played a prominent role during the Galactic Civil War. An Ur-Warrior, Hassrath was a member of the Adeptis Uralis - a highly elite and renowned society of Force-sensitives dedicated to serving and protecting the Gargan, the emperor of Gargan's Empire. Hassrath was fiercely loyal and dedicated to his role, becoming the last remaining Ur-Warrior in the galaxy after the Adeptis' fall following the Last Stand on Myrra. Urged by his superior, Shiv Dezzoncut, to find the next Gargan, Hassrath spent the next nineteen years searching the galaxy for the one to liberate Gargan Space from the Galactic Empire. Upon finding the Rebel Alliance and Emeric Armac Aloysaine, he was convinced he'd found his next master and swore to serve him until death.
Upon Aloysaine's death, it became clear that the next Gargan would be a young boy called Orabane Tremere. He went on to serve Tremere and aided him in liberating Garganath from Moff Gereon Vexus. Upon his defeat, Hassrath rebuilt the Adeptis Uralis and became the next Exarch. Since he had left Garganath, he began writing down his adventures and experiences in a journal - using it to teach future Adeptan recruits about the beauty in the galaxy and the Adeptis' right to preserve that beauty. His romance to Meirin Danell, however, became a topic of controversy as he had technically broken the Adeptan Creed. However, since he had helped to liberate Garganath, Hassrath went on to become one of the Adeptis' most celebrated heroes.
