Destiny

Tralon IV, later known as Damosus, was a planet in the Outer Rim Territories. Colonized in the early years of the Rianitus Period, it fell in and out of popularity over the eight thousand years of its society's existence before falling completely into obscurity two hundred years before the Clone Wars. It was the homeworld of the once-prestigious House Sendor.
History[]
Colonization[]
In 9000 BBY, following the election of Supreme Chancellor Blotus, several groups of humans left the Core Worlds in protest of the Hutt's victory. While they claimed their protest was merely against a Hutt specifically being Supreme Chancellor (given that they were known for their corrupt nature), in truth they were expressing latent humanocentric beliefs that still remained from the Pius Dea Era.
Leaving for the Outer Rim Territories, they eventually came across an uninhabited world in the then-uncharted Tralon system. Settling down, they soon established a colony on the planet, which they named Alon after their unofficial leader, Alon Varonus. Although prevalent at first, the anti-alien bias that Varonus and his followers held slowly died down over the years, and by 8000 BBY, alien colonists were being accepted into their society (although still not as common as humans).
In 8990 BBY, a year after the settling of Tralon, a calendar was established, starting with Tralon Year (T.Y.) 1.
The Great Houses[]
In 7991 BBY, six prestigious families rose to prominence. Establishing a ruling council over the planet, they became known as the Great Houses of Tralon. Among their number included House Varonus, House Sendor, and House Carran. For the first three years of their existence, the Great Houses were led by Valos Carran as the first Count of Tralon. He was shortly succeeded by Galen Sendor, whose reign spanned three decades and brought about desired reform and expansion.
By 6960 BBY, most if not all of Tralon had been discovered and several cities and settlements had been established worldwide. It was in that year that the reigning Count of Tralon-- a very young Kane Varonus-- decided to make efforts to explore the system their planet was located in, which his ancestors refused to do due to underlying resent for the rest of the galaxy. Reverse-engineering the ships which the first colonists had used, the Tralon Star Force was established for both exploration and defense purposes. While it was Count Varonus' hope to extend Tralon's reach beyond their system, any chance at doing so were vetoed by the Great Houses and further capped off by his isolationist successor Calsen Sendor.
More than two centuries later, the Star Force was first put to use for the latter purpose. In 6697 BBY, Republic scout ships discovered Tralon and made contact with the planet. The paranoid Count Taloc Sendor mistook these scouts for invaders and sent the Star Force after them. The Republic Fleet was soon summoned for assistance, and with the efforts of Admiral Kla'los and Viceroy Tulia Sendor, the Count was able to be pacified and peace was made. In a matter of days, Tralon IV was made a member of the Galactic Republic by Chancellor Luluwuul and first represented in the Galactic Senate by Zane Carran in 6664 BBY.
The Sith Wars[]
Despite its status, Tralon IV was never seen to be of strategic use by the Sith Empires that rose and fell during the Old Sith Wars. During the Mandalorian Wars, the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders did attempt to take the planet at one point but were driven away by the combined strength of the Republic fleet and Tralon Star Forces.
It would not be until three hundred years later, during the conflict against the reconstituted Sith Empire, that Tralon IV fell under Sith rule. This was thanks to the effort of the Sith Lord Valsen-- born Valon Sendor-- who overthrew his father Galran and took the throne of Tralon for himself. It was by this time that both the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic had been forced to cease-fire by the Eternal Empire. When Sith, Republic, and Jedi alike united against the Eternal Empire, Valsen elected to stay out of the conflict, ruling his own mini-empire until he was overthrown by his own descendants in 3583 BBY.
By 1000 BBY, Tralon IV had returned to the Republic and played a large role in the Republic's restructuring following the end of the New Sith Wars. The planet reached peak prominence when Arlon Sendor was elected Supreme Chancellor in 960 BBY, the sixth of the restored Republic and the first to be elected from the Rim Faction. It was the first time anyone from Tralon would become leader of the galaxy. It would also be the last, as after Alron's term ended in 952 BBY, the Tralon system would enter a gradual period of decline.
The Great Decline[]
Despite several thousand years of prominence, Tralon's prosperity was not to last forever. The start of what would be considered by historians as the "Great Decline" occurred in 250 BBY when Count Damus Sendor accidentally unleashed his pet akk dog onto the city of Alon due to an emotional breakdown he was going through. The people of Tralon were willing to give the Count the benefit of the doubt and tried sweep this incident under the rug.
In the hopes of inspiriting the distraught Damus, the Supreme Chancellor invited him to dinner along with Senator Laron Galarus. However, during the dinner, the pressure of all that had happened to him caused Damus to have a mental breakdown, embarrassing himself in front of hundreds, including the Supreme Chancellor. As a result, the other Great Houses kindly asked the Count to step down and replaced him with his brother-in-law Lodar Carran. Damus Sendor would turn out to be the last of House Sendor to carry the title of Count, which did not do the family any favors in terms of popularity.
House Sendor would not be the only contributor to Tralon IV's decline. In 197 BBY, a scandal involving House Galarus cost the planet its seat in the Galactic Senate. By 100 BBY, Tralon IV was no longer a destination advertised by Star Tours Spacelines and by 37 BBY, the planet was all but forgotten by the Republic, with only the Jedi visiting the world to retrieve Force-sensitive children.
The Clone Wars[]
The outbreak of the Clone Wars led to a reemergence for Tralon IV when the Separatists laid siege to the planet. Despite the Republic's ignorance, Count Davon Varonus declared his steadfast loyalty to Chancellor Palpatine and refused to join the Separatists.
Six months after the Siege of Tralon began, the Republic sent Jedi General Doth Elcharr and Commander Naya Sendor to the planet, along with a battalion of clone troopers. At first victory appeared to be guaranteed for the Republic, until Naya Sendor turned against her master, having discovered her heritage and joined the Revanite cult. With Elcharr's death, the Republic forces were soon driven off of Tralon and the Separatists took control of the planet. Count Varonus was executed and the Separatist-loyal Galos Carran was instated in his place.
Tralon's allegiance to the Confederacy would be short-lived however, as a year later the Clone Wars ended in Republic victory. The newly-formed Galactic Empire soon began retaking worlds that had belonged to the Separatists, Tralon IV among them. In 17 BBY, Imperial forces arrived on the planet and Count Galos was executed by Darth Vader. The Sith Lord proceeded to force the rest of the Great Houses to declare loyalty to the Empire, as well as to disband as a government entirely.
After nearly eight millennia, the reign of the Great Houses had come to an end. Under the Empire's rule, the planet was renamed Damosus and would never again be known as the prestigious world it had once been.
Locations[]
Alon[]
The capital city of Alon was made on the foundation of the Republic outpost established by Supreme Chancellor Contispex I in 11,987 BBY. Named after the First Founder Alon Varonus, the city served as a starting point for the further development of Tralon's civilization.
Raln[]
Established in 7819 BBY by Count Deraln Galarus, the city of Raln was named for his father, who had laid the foundation for the land ten years prior. It quickly became a lavish site, becoming host to a number of casinos and hotels and attracting countless visitors to Tralon. An exotic tourist trap, it became second only to Alon in terms of population and was the first city outside of the Sub-District to permit non-humans onto its precincts, although it was mainly to allow rich noblemen to bring their attractive Twi'lek or Togruta partners along.
Roth's Town[]
Roth's Town was one of the first settlements established in the Sub-District, made to provide shelter to any non-humans who wound up on Tralon and were barred from entering Alon. Its namesake, Lord Roth Talvron, was an advocate for reversing the laws established by Alon Varonus that prevented other species from living among humans. Although he was overruled by the other Houses and the Count, they were able to reach a compromise by establishing settlements for other species outside of Alon City's borders. As time went on, these settlements became smaller and in time only Roth's Town remained as the most fully-developed of these settlements. Even when other cities such as Raln became more open to aliens, Roth's Town remained the only city where non-humans made any kind of success.

Counts of Tralon[]
The Count of Tralon was a position nominated and elected on by the heads of the Great Houses. Despite this, it often felt like a heredity line because some Houses were favored more so than others. In particular, members of House Sendor were elected to the position for several consecutive years thanks to the successful reign of Galen Sendor I, which defined and established much of Tralon's modern society.
Each Count was served by a Viceroy, typically fulfilled by the Count's eldest child once they turned twenty-one. Some exceptions were made to this rule, particularly if a Count had no children or had children that were not yet old enough to fulfill the role.
