The Daalan Treaty, named for Natasi Daala, an early proponent of the restriction of Jedi activity who was removed in a coup initiated by the Jedi Order, was the treaty that ended the Civil War that many blamed the Jedi Order for.
Whilst the treaty enforces the dissolution of the Galactic Alliance, it was considered only to be a formality as the Alliance had already been superseded by the Systems Confederation, which was effectively the successor state. Included many of the same Senators as well as legislative and judicial processes.
The Treaty was by far hardest on the Jedi Order. Since the rise of Darth Krayt, as Emperor of the New Galactic Empire, the galactic government had always had a Force user at its head, and much to the dismay of the members of the Galactic Alliance once Krayt was disposed and the Alliance reinstated, the Triumvirate was brought back and instead of members being elected to the body, two Force users and the military chief appointed themselves. Thus the galaxy had yet another government run by unelected Jedi.
Terms of the treaty[]
Galactic Alliance[]
Apart from the unconditional surrender the terms against the Galactic Alliance were fairly even and fair. Whilst the Galactic Systems Confederation deposed the Alliance and officials oversaw the dissolution of the entire government, many senators, military and civilian personal maintained their job under the new government. Political commentators stating that it was very similar to the changes the New Republic underwent to become the Galactic Alliance.
The leaders of the Alliance were dealt with on a case by case basis, the highest profile arrest being the only surviving triumvir, Marasiah Fel, who was tried and incarcerated for war crimes. Her punishment heightened due to her force sensitivity.
New Jedi Order[]
The terms against the New Jedi Order were intently strict, and effectively placed every Jedi under a limited house arrest. Jedi were only aloud to wield a lightsaber with permission from the Force Oversight Senate Committee with decisions being made on a case by case basis, and the use of Force was restricted to designated locations.
The Jedi/Sith Temple was to be left empty, with only a token guard with the intention of a fall back shelter in times of war, instead the Jedi were housed housed in Confederate Force Facilities, six buildings being re-purposed to house them across six Core Worlds, these facilities being guarded under the watchful eye of Confederate Commandos.
