Corvis Thano was a Sephi politician and senator who represented Thustra in the New Republic Senate and later served in the collaborationist Reorganized New Republic Government during the Yuuzhan Vong War. A career diplomat, Thano was part of a noble clan and had represented his homeworld on many planets in the Galactic Republic. Following the Clone Wars, he ended up joining the Rebel Alliance and served in the Alliance Diplomatic Corps, bringing new worlds into the Rebellion. After the defeat of the Galactic Empire in 4 ABY Thano served as the Senator of Thustra in the Senate of the New Republic.
However, when Thustra fell to the invading Yuuzhan Vong, the Sephi diplomat agreed to work with the invaders in order to keep his people from becoming slaves. Despite being initially reluctant, Thano joined the Yuuzhan Vong-sponsored puppet regime, the Reorganized New Republic Government, in 26 ABY. Chief of State Hadrian Balthazar appointed him to the largely ceremonial position of President of the Senate for his experience. In that role, Thano ended up becoming the de facto vice chief of state and the "second man" of the regime. The Sephi was arrested after the war and put on trial for treason. Despite his vigorous defense of himself, Thano was found guilty and was executed on Coruscant in 30 ABY.
