The Corellian Defense Force or Corellian Defense Forces, often shortened to CDF or Cor-Def, and originally known as The Corellian was the primary defense force agency of the Core World planet of Corellia. Despite it's name the agency was most infamous for it's role in spearheading interplanetary offensive operations throughout the Corellian system.
History[]
Formation[]
The Corellian system had a number of quasi-military forces that operated in the name of the Corellian Empire, though not always in direct oversight. In 3671 BBY, many of these forces were joined together into Renzor e Solo's brainchild, the Corellian Defense Force, as the ruling monarch felt like none of the forces prior embedded "the Corellian spirit in both cause and armament".
Renzor's intensive oversight and role in forming the defense force was criticized by former military leaders of aforementioned forces as many worried that the defense force was in all intents and purposes, "the planting of a imperialist seed in an attempt to grab power". Though in reality, Renzor e Solo commissioned the force primarily in preparation for a possible invasion by the Sith Empire as the Sith conquered much of the Outer Rim.

The Alaskan Conflicts[]
Sometime around 3110 BBY, under the command of Prince-Admiral Jonash e Solo, the Corellian government commissioned CEC it's biggest fleet yet. Corellian-designed frigates that were superior in fighter capacity, shields, engines and long-range turbo lasers that were able to pick off much of the enemy's shields before engaging in broadside naval combat.
Despite the Empire's neutrality, Corellian privateers and CDF personnel were able to inflict heavy damage to both sides of the war in 3017 BBY. Corellian frigates were especially able to overpower squadrons of Republic battleships due to a design flaw leaked by an unidentified Corellian spy within the Republic's government and shipbuilding industry. A technical design flaw within the Republic's go-to dreadnought, so grave, that it brought about many victories up for the Corellian Empire during the war.

The crippling defeats prompted both the Republic and Alaskan to join forces in a temporary ceasefire and declare war on Corellia. The announcement called for a massive, yet readied for, mobilization of the Corellian Defense Force that extended to other branches of Corellian agencies and organizations.
