The Confederation was a formed alliance and resistance that was formed during the wake of the Second Galactic Civil War. This proud organization served as the heart of Corellia and millions of known Confederates call themselves "Freedom Fighters" to restore order and peace to the galaxy while the corrupt Galactic Alliance called them terrorists. The Confederation was eventually beaten by Jacen Solo and corrupt Alliance, and was forced to surrender during the last battle of the civil war. Following the death and redemption of Darth Caedus, the Confederation became one of the three major galactic powers in the galaxy alongside the Galactic Alliance and Imperial Remnant.
When the First Order emerged from the Unknown Regions, the Confederation played a key role in trying to put a stop against this local government. Seeing that the First Order wanted to rebuild the Galactic Empire from its ashes since the First Galactic Civil War, a number of Alliance officials decided to join the Confederation to combat the threat as well.
During the Confederation's war against the First Order, the Confederation sought the help of the New Jedi Order that spent the last six years on the planet Shedu Maad and recover on what happened since the Liberation of Coruscant. Luke Skywalker, who had vision on what would happen to the Order, agreed to help and dispatched his sister and some Jedi to assist in this terrible matter. During their search, they launched their attempt to destroy Starkiller Base, a superweapon that was constructed by the Galactic Empire long ago and it was never used. After First Order used the superweapon to destroy the Hosnian system, the Confederation launched an assault on Starkiller Base and was successful in destroying it.

Lost Tribe of Sith emergence[]
At some point in the year 43 ABY, during the Lost Tribe of Sith emergence, the Confederation refused to rejoin the Galactic Alliance due to the fact that it was corrupt and wanted to take time to heal. However, the local government did take part in the Unification Summit on Coruscant.
First Order War[]

For the last ten years, the Confederation had built their own senate on Corellia and remained active. When the First Order emerged from the Unknown Regions, every planet and system that were part of the Confederation united to stand against this new government that sought to rebuild the Galactic Empire, and secretly destroy both Jedi and Sith. Denjax Teppler, who currently served as the President of the Confederation and the Senate, saw the First Order as a threat and recognized its sent word to the Galactic Alliance and the newly formed Fel Empire to assist in this new conflict.
While Emperor Jagged Fel and the Fel Empire were undetermined, Denjax was deeply annoyed when Lanever Villecham, who had just become the new Chief of State of the Galactic Alliance Senate on Hosnian Prime, was too reluctant to help in this situation since he did not consider the First Order a threat and decided to open a peace treaty with the help of the Centrists, a political faction of Senators, Bureaucrats, and individuals that were in favor of a stronger galactic government. However, the Populists, who was another faction that served within the Senate, agreed to help in this matter. Together, Niuk Niuv, Nav Ekhat, Gron Marrab, and Moog Ulur, who were members of the Populists, argued strongly against the demilitarization policies and that the Alliance should reconsider in putting a stop to the First Order since they could not trust that this enemy would honor the will of peace.
