The Confederate Alliance of Unified Systems (CAUS) was the ruling government in the Galaxy for thousands of years. It was founded by a group of people who wanted to establish a governing body for the separate regions of the Galaxy such as the Outer Rim, Wild Space, and other far out regions from the Republic. The Republic later gave the Alliance power over some of the Inner regions of the Galaxy.
