Clan Aranaran was an old Mandalorian clan originally from the Mandalorian homeworld, Mandalore, but which eventually became fairly spread out in various parts of the galaxy, though still primarily headquartered in Mandalorian space. Over time, the clan established itself as having a reputation for protecting civilians and the innocent from harm, sometimes even drawing them into conflict with their fellow Mandalorians, but during the Mandalorian Wars and subsequent conflicts, they proved themselves as ardent supporters of the Mandalorian cause. Millennia later, during the Clone Wars and subsequent Galactic Civil War, the clan's members showed noteworthy honor and valor in battle against a variety of foes. Eventually, they became a significant part of the military backbone of the Hallowed Dominion.
