Chilan was a neutral planet, but after the war, it joined the Republic. In 13 BBY, it experienced a blockade by the Trade Federation, which, after the destruction of the blockade by the Templars, led the planet into a war. Many lives were lost, and after the bombing of the capital, the natives joined the war. It was called the Battle of Chilan.
Description[]
The planet's natives were Humans. The planet had many machinery factories and an army for protection. They had their own governmental system, that made laws for them, not the Republic.
Appearance[]
The planet originally had many grasslands, a huge glacier, and many oceans, being the ideal vacation spot for many people in the galaxy. After the war, the factories were gone, the grasslands were burned, the glacier melted and the water was polluted. Little more than 2,000 people remained there after the war and all the cities were reduced to rubble. After the Republic aided them, they rebuilt the cities and cleaned the water, and six years later, all the grass grew back.
Parent system[]
The Chilion system ((pronounced /tʃɪlioʊn/)) in the Outer Rim Territories was the system Chilan was in. Chilan was the fifth habitable planet. The system contained nine moons, six habitable planets, and three uninhabitable planets.
