One of the Demesnes which helped me along my training before I joined the Alliance was Agoneum. The Champions there worked with me on personal combat, which provded useful when I dueled Moff Stropvidian to the death.

The Championate of Agoneum, also known as the Portrykas Kingdom or the Realm of the Champions, was the government of the Agoneum System, based off of the system's primary planet, Agoneum. It was one of the Ethereal Empire's and Ethereal Demesnes' centers of military and combat training, and thus traditionally stayed neutral in many internal conflicts of the region.
When the Ethereal Family ruled the Ethereal Empire, Agoneum was settled as a center for training for the armed forces. While the Academy-State of Fraxeum rose due to Fraxeum's power as an academy of military officers, Agoneum rose due to its value as a school for the training of average military personnel, from soldiers to navymen. The Corps of Champions, Agoneum's signature military unit, was a division of their most elite, experienced fighters, of which the best of the best formed the royal guard of the ruling House Portrykas; the House Champions.
Over time, as the Diet of the Ethereal Demesnes rose, Agoneum's royal government developed and, in time, was invited to join the regional legislature. It became one of the preferred worlds for military personnel to train on, acting in concert with Fraxeum to supply the armed forces of the region with a reliable supply of recruits for both their armies and their officer corps. In the process, it developed a natural sense of neutrality, almost always refusing to fight directly in the region's wars.
During the region's wars against outside forces, from the Sith to the Zakuulans to the Separatists to the Imperials, Agoneum came to be a key source for trained recruits to serve in the Demesne Defense Forces, as well as some of the region's individual military forces, particularly those which had little to no domestic training capacity.
