Cathal Abrienn was a Dark Jedi that served as Lunais's agent during the Galactic Civil War.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Quite possibly a former Jedi Knight, Cathal Abrienn was found by the Imperial Inquisitor Lunais several years prior to the Battle of Yavin. Living as a serial killer on the world of Denon, Abrienn was severely disturbed and subject to mental breakdowns. Seeking an agent unknown to the Emperor, Lunais brought Abrienn aboard her Star Destroyer, the Dark Force, and, using a twisted dark side technique, ripped Abrienn's mind apart, piece by piece, leaving little but an empty shell.

Lunais had a powerful agent at her disposal, totally loyal to her. However, his blank mind left him unable to think independently, a trait she needed in order to overthrow the Emperor, as she had planned. Lunais continued to search for a proper apprentice, while utilizing Abrienn as a puppet to eliminate her rivals without implication.

Galactic Civil War[]

By the time of the Battle of Yavin, Lunais had secured a prominent position of power within the Inquisitorius, in part due to assassinations performed by Abrienn. He shadowed his Master, posing as an aide on her staff, everywhere she went, be it on her Star Destroyer or in her private residence on Imperial Center.

The Tieres Incident[]

When Lunais left Imperial Center to secure the services of Naelah Tieres, the Force-sensitive daughter of Moff Tieres of Rothana, Abrienn accompanied her. He lurked aboard the Destroyer, little more than a shadow to officers and crewmen, awaiting his Master's call.

Following her defeat at the hands of Phiht Piroc, Lunais summoned Abrienn and bid him to go to Nar Shaddaa and capture Naelah and murder her protectors, Piroc and Sterlo. Looking forward to the challenge of the hunt, Abrienn departed the Destroyer aboard a modified TIE prototype, and made his way to the Smuggler's Moon.

Powers and Abilities[]

Following his "enlistment" by Lunais, Abrienn had little left in the ways of thoughts, emotions, or other cognitive functions. He existed only to serve his Master's will.

Though little more than an empty mind, Abrienn could still tap into the power of the Force. He was able to cloak his presence from those around him, making him little more than a shadow in the eyes of non-Force-sensitives. This was his greatest advantage as an assassin. He also could use several basic Force powers, including Force Push and Force Lightning.

Abrienn also wielded a red-bladed lightsaber.
