Cassidy Courier Services was a courier service during the time of the Galactic Republic and beyond.
As a result of the war with the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Trade Federation no longer transported goods within the Republic controlled space. Other trade companies took over this position. While most of the companies concentrated their resources on the main trade lines, CCS used light freighters to offer logistical services to the local trade lines. The Flagship of the company was the Stoke a R10C Consular-class cruiser.

Early days[]
What started with just one ship has become a major player in transporting man and material through the Galacy

John Cassidy was one of the view non Neimoidian captains on a Lucrehulk-class LH-3210 cargo freighter, the Gold Rush. Even as a Captain was John never really a part of the Trade Federation. The only true friend he had within the Trade Federation was Kli´ic the Verpine chief engineer on board the Gold Rush. Following the Naboo crisis John and Kli´ic left the Trade Federation. John bought a used R10C Consular-class cruiser and founded his own trading company the Cassidy Courier Services in 32 BBY. His friend Kli´ic became the board engineer.
In the early years of the company he was the director and the captain of The Stoke. By doing all kinds of odd jobs they earn money and built a reputation of being a reliable business partner. In 16 BBY the new CCS Space Station was completed John Cassidy became the CEO and started to run the business from there. Kli´ic was also transferred to the station as the CTO. Hawke became the new captain of the Stoke and the COO of CCS. John took over the position as the captain of the Stoke again after CCS space station was destroyed in the aftermath of the Destruction of Alderaan and CCS joined the Rebellion.
Galactic Civil War – Alliance Support Services[]
There were several employees hoe joint up with the Rebellion, still CCS tried in the begin of the civil war to hold a neutral position against the Empire and the Rebellion. However after the Destruction of Alderaan and the attack on CCS space station the CCS joined the Alliance. The transports ships of CCS played an important role in the Alliance Support Services.
The Modified light freighters from CCS, such as the Wildcat, were equipped the with additional external cargo pods to boost their cargo capacity. The small size made them useful when supplying ships or bases behind Imperial lines. With forged documentation making them appear to be legitimate tramp freighters, the CCS freighters could sometimes land openly at Imperial spaceports.
The Stoke and Twin Sun — the two R10C Consular-class cruisers — where one of the view well equipped bulk transport ships in the ASS fleet and mainly used for efficient transport of bulk items such as fuel, food and medical supplies. Still however the Bulk freighters participated in combat operations and battles. The Stoke itself was used to evacuate the remain rebel personal during the Evacuation of Yavin.
The work for ASS wasn't without any risk as during the events of the Galactic Civil War the CCS lost four ships. Lucky most of the times the crews survived. Afterwards the CCS received a couple of GR-75 medium transports ships as a compensation for their loses.
New Alderaan[]
The CCS helped to establish the safe world New Alderaan. There took also a role in construction of the infrastructure and the exporting raw material for the Alliance to use in its war effort. CCS build their own Docking Area. It became the new headquarter for CCS. It also became the main base of opetations for Henry Benjamin Hawke the new CEO of CCS.
New management[]
Under the leadership of Henry Benjamin Hawke the company grow from a small courier services to a major player in transporting man and material through the Galacy. The company received a couple of profitable contracts, however CCS had just one problem.They didn´t had enough light freighters to fulfill the contracts. Fortunately they came across the Ghtroc Industries Class 720 freighter. The GR-75 medium transports ships — notorious for its high maintenance requirements — where soon replaced by the Ghtroc Industries Cargo Empress-class super freighter. Soon it's fleet grow to 72 operational light freighters, 22 Medium transport ships and 3 bulk transport ships.
Black Sun and New Planet Motors[]
The Black Sun made an Airspeeder company called New Planet Motors. With the help of CCS this company turned out to be just a scam to get money from New Republic citizens.
Organization[]
Cassidy Courier Services has founded by John Cassidy after he left the Trade Federation during the Invasion of Naboo in 32BBY. He was the CEO of CCS and the captain of the Stoke in the early years. In 16BBY the new CCS Space Station was completed John Cassidy started to run his business from there. Kli´ic was also transferred to the station and became CTO of Cassidy Courier Services.
Henry Benjamin Hawke became the new captain of the Stoke and the COO of CCS. After the war he took over the position of CEO and rebuild CCS on New Alderaan.

Outer Rim Territories Transport commonly known as ORTT was one of the major competitors of CCS.

The CCS had a space station however it was destroyed in the aftermath of the Destruction of Alderaan. After the establishment of the safe world New Alderaan CCS build their own Docking Area. It became the new headquarter for CCS.
