I present to you... the Empress of the Stars!
Aves Harth unveiling the design of the vessel

Casino Royale is a role playing game on TheForce.Net Role Playing Forum. It is the fifth in a series of games based on a peace-keeping organization called the Secret Galactic Intelligence Service, also known as MI5.

The plot[]

Strong currents in the underworld have taken an interest in the Empress of the Stars, a flagship of the Starlight Cruise Line. MI5 agents are to board the vessel inconspicuously and successfully protect it and it's passengers from any threat that may arise. Only a small number of elite agents are allowed to go on this mission, and money will be tight as MI5 has been having a little financial trouble. But, the vessel should be protected at all costs.

The story[]

After M gave his briefing at MI5 Headquarters, the agents worked together to figure out the best way to board the vessel without drawing attention. First order of business was to acquire tickets to an auction where they could bid on rooms aboard the vessel. Luckily, using Agents Ruana Trebond and Stent Kannat's contacts, they were able to find tickets to the auction. That night, after donning their disguises and using their aliases, the agents made there way to the Vos Gesal Hotel in the Uscru Entertainment District of Coruscant. The auction was held in the Grand Reception Hall of the hotel.

While waiting for the auction's main event, the agents ordered drinks and mingled with the other guests. They were secretly sizing up their competition while Markus Carfax hacked one of the tables' datapads. Using Carfax' skills, he was able to secure the Grand Suite 703 aboard the Empress. It contained 2 bedrooms and was hopefully large enough to house all the agents who planned on going.

After the auction, they headed back to MI5 HQ to finalize identities, backstories and other things before leaving on the voyage. They also visited Q'u Branch to acquire some gadgets to take on board the Empress. While there, Carfax did a bit more hacking and dug up a brief background on Aves Harth, the main man behind the Empress.

When the day finally arrived, the agents headed out and boarded the Empress. They settled into their suite, briefly discussed their immediate plans, and wondered the ship to get acquainted with their new surroundings as well as searching for anything seeming to be suspicious.

The vessel's first stop was Corellia. The agents roamed Coronet City hoping to dig up information from the underworld. Carfax paid CorSec a visit while the other agents inspected and questioned people at cantinas. While investigating, they happened to come across a hooded figure who was eavesdropping on their conversations. They chased him to a junkyard where they were ambushed. Escaping the junkyard alive, they were helped to safety by a woman named Inyri. Meanwhile, Carfax had found out that when the Empress was docked planetside, no other companies or authorities could assist the crew. It was completely "hands-off" for CorSec. There was definitely something unusual about the ship.

After returning to the Empress, they attended the events at the Empyreal Casino. They learned about the high-stakes sabacc tournament that was involved with the cruise. The tournament would start on Bespin, continue on the other stops along the cruise, and ultimately end at Casino Royale on the gambler's world, Vorzyd V. The agents also had an encounter, and a little trouble, with someone calling himself Kaleb Mors.

The vessels next stop was Spira, where the MI5 agents spoke to a man from INTERPOL, Detective Jarus Dravval. Dravval told the agents that the Empress was considered to be neutral territory for the higher organizations in the underworld. He also gave them the identity and location of the hooded figure from the junkyard on Corellia. His name was Salek Zaron, and he had connections with the Tenloss Syndicate. The agents soon found themselves at odds with each other about their next moves. So the team split. Halon and Ryn Solass went after Zaron, but the rest of the agents planned on digging up more information in the underworld.

Instead skipping the underworld, the agents played in a sabacc game at the casino in Aspre Plunge. While, at the same time, Halon and Ryn commandeered a vessel and headed across the water to find Zaron at the Shinkai Abyss. A confrontation under the surface of the water resulted in Zaron becoming incapacitated, but it also attracted the attention of a camray eel. Zaron was actually eaten by the eel, but Ryn and Halon managed to escape and head back to the mainland. Dravval found them and escorted them back to the Empress.

All the agents regrouped back at their suite aboard the giant vessel and compared notes. They also developed a plan of what to do next...

Incomplete story[]

Unfortunately, the Casino Royale roleplaying game had essentially "died" and the players gave up on it, ultimately ending the story before it was finished. It is unknown what happened to the MI5 agents and their mission to protect the Empress of the Stars.

Route of the Empress[]

The luxury cruise started at Coruscant, then headed to Corellia to pick up more people. It then continued around to Spira, headed Rimward to Bespin, then made its way toward Sullust. From there, it jumped over to Zeltros, then headed back for Vorzyd V (where the infamous Casino Royale was located), made a quick stop on Vortex, then returned to Coruscant, and later Corellia for those who got on after the cruise began.
