We do have one piece of information about our mysterious criminal. He goes by the name of CarbonEye.
M addressing the agents

CarbonEye is a role playing game on TheForce.Net Role Playing Forum. It is the third in a series of games based on a peace-keeping organization called the Secret Galactic Intelligence Service, also known as MI5.

The Plot[]

Within the past few days, three major facilities...all on different planets...have been broken into and vandalized. Not only that, but priceless merchandise has been stolen from those facilities. Local authorities on those planets thought they could handle the situations themselves, until they realized there was a connection between the three crimes. As it turns out, there is more to these crimes than just theft... It's looking more like highly organized crime. That's when MI5 was called back into action.

The first crime scene was an old Czerka Corporation warehouse on Dantooine. The warehouse was a stockpile of weapons, mostly blasters and rifles. The guards were found dead and the weaponry gone. The whole place was cleaned out. The second crime scene was the office building of a small company on Alderaan that makes blue-print holo's for major ground transportation manufacturers. They make up the blue-prints for speeders, submersibles, and other land-based vehicles, then send them out to the manufacturers to use for building the vehicle. No one was killed, but the owner of the company, a Twi'lek named Cotati, reported some of the blue-prints missing. The third crime scene was on Tatooine at Jabba the Hutt's palace. Half of Jabba's family fortune was stolen.

Each crime scene had a calling card left by a villain named CarbonEye. The calling card was a holo image that showed the MI5 insignia crossed out with a big red "X".

The Story[]

Part 1 - The Mission Starts with a Bang[]

After the briefing on the three different situations around the galaxy, M assigned each agent to one of three teams. Each team was assigned to go to one of the three planets: Tatooine, Dantooine and Alderaan. Onolar Neot was leading the Tatooine team, Joss Vendu the Dantooine team, and Markus Carfax had the Alderaan team.

And after a brief run-in with Wilhelm Starck, the agents began heading out to their respective planet assignments. But in the meantime, Team Blood Trinity had resurfaced on Coruscant and had a coordinated attack on many different locations on the planet, one of which was MI5 Headquarters. This event became known as the "Coruscant Bombings".

A couple of detectives from Meerian Vice, along with some INTERPOL agents, were beginning investigations into the whereabouts of Team Blood Trinity. MI5 agent Mitch Nifesta was called in as well.

As the Dantooine team arrived at the old Czerka warehouse, the Force-sensitive assassin Haley Qubey, whom CarbonEye hired, began an attack on the agents, killing a few of her own men in the process. Toward the end of the fight, the Czerka warehouse was completely destroyed. During that time, Haley Qubey battled with her old friend, MI5 agent Oorahahra Keskay. And Joss Vendu was fighting his own inner demons, an entity called Arca.

When the battle on Dantooine finally ended, Keskay was successful in turning Haley good, and planned on using her to get to CarbonEye. But upon hearing about the bombings back on Coruscant, Vendu decided to head back there and help out any way they could.

Tatooine team leader Onolar Neot had sent Pam Rocker to Tatooine early to scout out the situation. While the rest of the team was en route to the dust-covered planet, Pam was taken prisoner by Jabba's Gamorrean guards. She ended up getting out of Jabba's Palace with the help of an MI5 operative Leiter, who had successfully infiltrated Jabba's gang long before Pam arrived.

The MI5 agents arrived on the planet to find S from Q'u Branch, who gave them a transport. Soon after Pam met up again with the agents, they set out toward Jabba's Palace.

After the Alderaan team finally arrived on the peaceful planet, they were attacked on their way into the business district to find Cotati. After a lot of commotion that involved a falling ambulance, the team finally reached Cotati's Blueprints, only to find that Draco Gant, another mook hired by CarbonEye, was attacking them.

The small office building that housed Cotati's company was gutted and pretty much destroyed during the battle, but the agents managed to escape with Cotati and rendezvous at the hotel called Royal...all except Zachos Dakkan, who was captured by Draco Gant.

Back on Coruscant, as the investigation into Team Blood Trinity's whereabouts began, Vendu's "Dantooine Team" had arrived on the planet. After working together, they narrowed down their search to the people they were looking for: Adder and his team.

Meanwhile, while Team Blood Trinity was escaping, they found a k'lor'slug hidden on their ship, which ended up dead after it attacked Lisia. So, to get Lisia medical attention, they made a pit stop on the planet Reece.

Part 2 - Things Go from Bad to Worse[]

While waiting for CarbonEye to contact her, Haley's ship hovered in Ord Mantell's atmosphere. She was soon boarded by two of CarbonEye's men, Generals Laurel and Hardy. The two bumbling Generals did a quick inspection of her ship, just to make sure MI5 hadn't planted any homing beacons or anything.

After a confusing situation with Anton Sadow on Coruscant, Nifesta and Vendu's team were sent to Reece to track down Team Blood Trinity. The team eventually caught up with them on Ord Mantell. In the junkyards, a game of "cat and mouse" was played between the members of Team Blood Trinity and Vendu's team of MI5 agents. Adder eventually got the drop on Agent Vendu and kidnapped him, taking Vendu's ship the Cortania along with him.

The situation on Alderaan had gotten worse. As it turns out, Zachos was only a clone, and Draco Gant unleashed a small platoon of Zachos clones on the agents. And in the process, the hotel Royal was badly damaged, the ship the Last Bolt was in the hands of Draco, and Sounil had suffered some brain damage.

Meanwhile, back on Tatooine, while half the MI5 team was combing Jabba's Palace for clues, the other half was facing a team of Tusken Raiders, calling themselves the Yargh, who were apparently working for CarbonEye. The standoff ended up in a stalemate, with both groups going their separate ways.

While Joss Vendu was held captive on Team Blood Trinity's ship, Darth Sadira, who sensed Vendu was Force-sensitive, dove into the agents mind and found Arca...and unleashed the dark consciousness, allowing it to overtake Vendu's body. At the same time, the Cortania AI had transmitted it's consciousness to MI5 databases, accessed the Q'u Branch mainframe, and took control of the robotic body of a synthdroid.

The Tatooine team arrived back at MI5 Headquarters on Coruscant, only to find that Pam Rocker had been brain-washed and attempted to kill M. Pam was taken into custody, as was one of the Zachos clones, designated "Z-6". M had received a message earlier about Zachos clones from the Alderaan team, so he had reason to believe this Z-6, who looked exactly like Zachos, could be one of the clones...possibly trying to infiltrate MI5. Using Z-6 to get in, Draco stealthily made his way into M's office, only to be bombarded by half the agents there.

While all that was happening, Agent Hawk and Wilhelm Starck were sent out to the City of Exiles on Coruscant to track down a suspect who may or may not be an old rogue MI5 agent. Starck ended up getting killed, but Hawk made it out alive.

The Cortania synthdroid took a ship and headed out toward Mytus VII, knowing that Team Blood Trinity had a fortress there. Mitch Nifesta soon followed, along with the remaining members of the Dantooine team.

While the commotion was happening in M's office, Gruu Funkistann and Se'got fought a Falleen named Xenia that crash-landed near MI5 HQ. Xenia was apparently working for CarbonEye. The two Jedi agents knocked her unconscious and took her into custody. They also looked in her ship's travel log to find out where she had been, hoping to track down CarbonEye's whereabouts.

Fred-gray

Sir Frederick Gray, the Minister of Defense on Coruscant

When Sounil was stable enough to be moved, the Alderaan team finally headed back toward Coruscant. And on Coruscant, MI5 HQ had suffered some damage, M was incapacitated, Draco was killed, and MI5 reacquired the Last Bolt. So, with M out of commission, Sir Frederick Gray the Minister of Defense stepped in to momentarily take command of the mission. His first order of business was to get the agents to regroup before continuing with the mission.

Part 3 - Adder's Demise and CarbonEye's Identity[]

Mitch Nifesta and Ruana Trebond's team arrived at Mytus VII to find Cornelius Von Bolt's palace built adjacent to the Stars' End prison. Apparently Team Blood Trinity had taken over the prison and were using both structures as their fortresses. The MI5 agents stormed the buildings. And during the battle, the entity known as Arca went dormant and Vendu had complete control over his body once again.

Generals Laurel and Hardy had intercepted some transmissions from Coruscant and found out that MI5 had set out for Mytus VII. So, relaying the information back to their master, CarbonEye decided to take a little trip and "visit" them on the prison planet.

As the battle raged on Mytus VII between MI5 and Team Blood Trinity, CarbonEye chose that moment to reveal his identity. He was actually Pots Putnyocus, the man that Adder failed to rescue months ago on Naboo, and the man that was tortured by Joss Vendu and Ruana Trebond. All three people were there to witness CarbonEye's little villainous monologue.

Back at MI5 HQ on Coruscant, Sounil Mistry was nursed back to health, only to find that she had some amnesia from the lekku injury. So while the Minister of Defense escorted the incapacitated M to a secure and undisclosed location, Angeo Lim briefed the remaining MI5 agents at HQ about the upcoming excursion to Manaan. (Since the plans stolen from Cotati were blue-prints of submersibles, Gruu had conducted a search in Xenia's ship's travel logs for aquatic planets. The only one that had come up was Manaan.) So, the agents headed out for Manaan.

The long and ferocious battle continued on Mytus VII. CarbonEye managed to escape the battle and headed back to Manaan, but not before his synthetic carbon-eye was damaged. When he finally returned to his hidden base on Manaan, he had his scientist Dr. Noah repair his synthetic carbon-eye.

The battle on Mytus VII finally ended with a few of Team Blood Trinity getting killed and the rest captured. Adder, the leader of the team of terrorists, fell five stories to his doom on the planet's surface. But MI5 didn't come out of it unscathed either. After regrouping and evacuating the planet, MI5 took their prisoners and headed back toward HQ on Coruscant. During the trip back, agents Joss Vendu and Ruana Trebond realized they had fallen in love and had agreed to get married.

Part 4 - Welcome to Manaan[]

The MI5 agents arrived on Manaan only to find Ahto City somewhat deserted. Markus Carfax was able to hack into the city's mainframe and communicate with one of the Selkath. Apparently the Selkath had gone into hiding, and wished CarbonEye would leave because his massive underwater base (named Octopus) was polluting the planet's clean waters.

So, the Selkath agreed to take MI5 to the Octopus base's location. But, before leaving Ahto City, the agents were once again attacked by CarbonEye's small army of goons, which were quickly dispatched.

With the help of a huge humanoid robot (known as the Maizentaeda GX) piloted by a Selkath named Shorokan, the agents found the underwater base. That's when the MI5 agents from Mytus VII had arrived on Manaan to help in the fight with CarbonEye.

Shalin Kitovaz and Markus Carfax were able to disguise themselves as CarbonEye's troops and secretly infiltrate the base. While there, Carfax hacked the base's computer systems and set off the alarms, making everyone aboard think the base was going to malfunction and self-destruct. That, of course, led to the remaining troops and scientists, including Dr. Noah, to flee the base and head for the surface. That allowed the rest of the agents to board the base safely.

CarbonEye, on the other hand, knew the agents had a hacker on their team. So he knew that the self-destruct sequence was a false alarm. Furious, he eventually met up with the agents in the base's control room. Another lengthy battle ensued which resulted in CarbonEye being killed by Joss Vendu's lightsaber. But MI5 had casualties as well. Hawk was killed in the line of duty and was given a proper send-off when the agents returned to Coruscant.

So, MI5 captured most of CarbonEye's men (except for Dr. Noah who was still at large), they paid to help rebuild all the property damaged they caused (including Cotati's Blueprints), they recovered as much of Jabba's fortune as they could, CarbonEye's Octopus base was dismantled and removed from the waters of Manaan, and M took over MI5 again once he was healed enough to return.

Before CarbonEye's death, he mentioned that he was part of a criminal organization known as SMERSH, and that he was supposed to eliminate MI5 for the organization. So SMERSH remained on everyone's mind at the end of the mission. The agency had a newly discovered enemy in the galaxy.
